    I passed out in front of my computer watching Custom Made 4WD vehicles, and woke up listening to this gentleman. He is really fun to listen to! And I like your vehicle. It looks very useful, and fun to ride. I'd love to own one! Perhaps I will in Heaven.

    WOW talk about perfect! My brother and I want to ride around Lake Michigan this summer. A ride from Michigan to the Florida Keys is on that list too. Just subscribed! The plan is Micro campers, but bikes are going to be a tall enough order!

    Very intelligent design consideration with the rear derailleur as a tensioner! Love it. I also like the true "mid" drive of a trike. So often you hear tadpole trikes with "mid" drive, when it's more like a front engine, rear wheel drive. I know the motors you guys use are expensive but it's good to see a belt drive. I do wish the boom angle and the overall platform height could be adjusted. Let me know if you're hiring. I've got ideas :)

    Just add a roof like the Iris E-trike and you will have the perfect little e-bike for commuting/errands.

    Great builds - however the USA manufactured motors are rather noisy. I believe it is the spline metal gears, whereas the Bafang yields a much quieter operation with its composite internal motor gears.

    If it's well built it's not a problem The real issue I don't think there's anywhere on earth that it's legal to drive. I wish it was legal.

    @@derekthompson2279 if you want some off-road capability, you can look at the Nomad model instead. And if you want four wheels, they do make the coyote, which is also available in four-wheel drive.

    I like this and with me being an avid outdoors man this would be fantastic but how much would the price be? Also how well could a gas engine kit be installed on to this with a Jack shaft to help power it thrue all of the gears say a 49-100cc engine in a 2 stroke version engine as I have a 100cc 2 stroke engine with a jack shaft kit installed on to it. Also how well can a diy small game and equipment trailor be hooked up to this?

    I can see there is a lot of thought in this bike, but man, what a noise it makes. This bike is interesting, but to me already overkill (I don't even have a bike yet), am looking at what is available and affordable on the market. The part where you are driving on the road with speeds up to 46 mph, I'm thinking about what would happen to you if you crash with that speed into something? How about a safety belt, wouldn't that be something to consider? Would it help at all?

    How do the electronics handle extreme cold? My current e-Bike really struggles under 32f, and completely shuts down at about -5f.

  • @OutriderUSA

    @OutriderUSA

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Jeremy, our battery bays are insulated so our packs will handle cold very well. With the standard setup, you can operate down to -4F pack temperature. With a cold weather package that adds heating elements below the packs, you can operate in much colder temperatures. Exact temperatures depend on riding speed but well below -10F with a cold weather package.

  • @EricPeelMusic

    Why not make the chassis as wide as the track (like an F1) and decrease the height of it by around a factor or 2? Then you can add back a few mm thickness to top and bottom plates keeping stiffness around the same. It would add a little weight but it would lower the center of gravity and ride height by a few cm or it would add a few cm of ground clearance for offroad. Overall, the chassis is unnecessarily narrow and tall for a street machine. You could take that further, keeping the chassis as wide as the track width and dropping the seat height to the height of the belly, split the battery in half, like your previous design but with a much lower center of gravity and ride height. And same capacity as your new design. The chassis should just extend out behind the tires, or have battery compartments added on there. Theres no reason for it not to as people who can afford these are not restricted by living in an arpartment up 3 flights of stairs or something.

    Do I need a motorcycle license, or a regular drivers license?

  • @CyclingNeko

    @CyclingNeko

    Жыл бұрын

    You might need it, check your area's rules regarding motorized vehicle. In my country, a motorized bicycle, trike, or quad can be illegal on road if using a throttle to operate because it will be considered as an electric vehicle, not a human powered vehicle. Because it already considered as an electric vehicle, it will require safety equipment like mirrors, blinkers and brake light. it will also require registration in DMV . Some manufacturer tried to avoid this classification by adding crank and pedals. But our highway traffic service and police are no longer tolerate this and forbid the use in public road (at least in some cities). Since many reckless /inexperienced rider tend to causing problem on the road. The only easy way to avoid electric Vehicle classification is by not using throttle, but pedal assist. So the operational will mainly still need pedaling from the rider and the electric motor will serve as power assist. In some country, motorized vehicle that originally designed for human powered vehicle will need assisting speed limit of 25kmh. If reaching more than 25kmh, the assist system will be stopped.

    Nope! It has pedals and falls under a specific power level, so it's an ebike; same rules apply for our adaptive/mobility machines. Otherwise, fully electric standard machines can be registered as mopeds :)

    There’s a machine for every task right? In our area there are many 55mph twisty country roads with no berm, this is the only safe way to ride on that infrastructure in my opinion. I pedal my guts out at full tilt, I love the feeling of high speed riding with my blood pumping and watching my efficiency climb. Cheers mate
