One important thing I wanted to add. At 2:25, while our rider was experiencing an adrenaline rush, he turned his head to look at the car he almost hit. During that time, a car nearly pulled out right in font of him. It’s important to remember to not let your guard down while still riding. I usually pull over to a safe spot after a close call like this just to give myself a chance to mentally reset. He went into white stage right after the close call and took his eyes off the road. The red car probably didn’t see him until the last second. He would’ve been toast if the red car pulled out.

When VW got busted for cheating emissions on their diesel cars, they had to recall those cars and do a reflash on the ECU. A lot of people did it at first, until they realized that it reduced fuel millage by 20%. A diesel Jetta doesn't get much better millage than a compact gas car in America. What's the point in owning one if it costs more to buy, is slower, and costs more to maintain, all without hardly any benefit in fuel consumption? Also, diesel fuel is more expensive in America than gasoline. Diesels are very popular in large vehicles, likes pick-up trucks and large SUVs, because they are far superior when towing heavy loads, but that's not a concern for passenger cars.
