The Warden is incredibly strong, but I think I get what they were intending with it. It's not a "kill it" mob like a Ghast, that you fight. It's meant to be avoided, like a super high damage patrolling monster in a video game that requires you to maneuver around and escape it rather than fight your way through it.

I love the whole soundtrack and horror vibes from this. It shows that while the new caves are truly amazing and beautiful, you have to be careful not to dig too deep... you never know what you may discover down in those depths.

near as I can tell it's an effect of the biome the player was in; this being the Deep Dark or something, it gets dark

The warden probably is linked with the stronghold, warden means something like protecting prisoners, the warden even has the same color as the end portal, he has no eyes like he doesn't want to fight endermen. And probably... The eye of ender might be what he wants. This is a theory, he does look like a iron golem, and iron golems protect villages, mabe the villagers have to do something with him. We dont know yet but its something! In the fottage provided when hurt he makes noises that resemble a enderman. Tiny legs, long arms. He protects the stronghold, i think i got ya bois somewhere, if i got anything wrong here feel free to correct me.

@@jeremiahwalker or probably it's some type of snow yeti, it's kinda obvious cause of the caves and cliffs update, if we look at its arms it resembles fur of some type, I might be the first person the point that out but probably we are getting randomly generated mobs that come with the cave and cliffs update, for now we all know of the warden that looks like a snow/cave yeti. I mean, I can't be wrong even its body shape is that of one and the horns/skulk are at the sides of its head, this is another theory I came up with over the weekend! I should just copy and paste this in the comment itself

the first time i played minecraft in 2011 and so simple and now it looks magnificent ;)

Hear me out. The maximum amount of protection a player in the base vanilla game without commands, is the Netherite armour with Protection IV. This means that the player boasts an almost 40 healthpoints one has to deal to kill to that player. The Warden two shot that. Six and a half hearts. This is 20-30 hitpoints in a single swing being taken away. That is more than the Wither, Ender Dragon, and the Elder Guardian, in a longshot.

The sounds that The Warden make, almost sounds like its in agony. Considering its heart has souls in it, this creature probably contains LOTS of souls, just to be strong.

Just imagine mining in the caves for ores at night and the room is all quiet. And you hear the *WARDEN* noise: HRRRRRRRRRrrrr (however you pronounce the noise 😂) And you shoot it with the BOW or CROSSBOW. THAT thing would run as fast as possible to come get you and destroy you in two hits... And lose your stuff. I would’ve SHAT myself and screamed 😆.

i was already scared enough to go caving and now yall are adding this beast

It's just a theory, but since the design of the sculk sensor is different (if I'm not mistaken the new one looks like constant moving tentacles instead of shaky and stiff roots) we could also see a change of design in the warden, Maybe the horns are going to be different

I feel like everyone forgets there’s an easy way to kill everything in Minecraft, solely that you can probably just build a wall and hit it through a little window.

I like this concept of a mob that cant see but hear everything. If you sneek it will reduce the detection zone of a mob but they dont react to other noises such as placing a block wich makes this op hearing apility a quper concept. I realy like this new noise mechanic.

This makes my minecraft world way more scarier than before.
