One thing about the Lenovo legion series is so true, they don't try to cut the cost in the ports. I like the notch thing with a 1080p webcam in the design, looks cool

The size of modern gaming laptops just blows my mind. Comparing this to my GTX980 MSi from back in the day is insane, not to mention the lack of cheep shiny plastic
Sir, the choice of games you tested makes me smile (same gaming preferences)!
Love all the Yurman, got the same gold dagger bracelet and forged carbon pendant! Also, buying this laptop as we speak!
What a beast! Specs asides , Visually it's so beautiful.
Very cool video
I got legion 5 pro 2022 in march and that laptop is a beast. Im newbie pc gamer so the spec are perfect.
This is the best editing I’ve ever seen
thats one cool laptop for sure. love it
I believe part of the reason there is a big gap behind the keyboard is that there is watercooling on this particular model. its not just the vents.

Does the rgb really sync with the content on screen? Lenovo claims as such in one of their announcements. Or did I just get that wrong? Kinda like Philips ambilight? I can’t seem to find any reviewer mentioning this? „The Lenovo LA-2 AI chip also syncs the Legion Spectrum RGB present in strips around the keyboard and bottom covers, on the top cover’s Legion wordmark, and in the per-key RGB Lenovo TrueStrike keyboard with visuals on the screen - truly immersing the gamer in the on-screen experience.“
I like Lenovo. I got a gaming laptop years ago and it still works fine

Added to my cart. I do light gaming but this is great for 3D production.
Great video, nice editing. Subbed! However, the average consumer is probably not going to be able to afford this, haha. For maxed config, I'm currently looking at $4500 on Lenovo's website. For that additional $1000 over competitors with similar specs, I guess you are getting the nice chassis, screen, and liquid cooling. Can't wait to see more in depth reviews on this from performance and temperature standpoint to see what else that extra cost gets you, but dang, this thing is nice!

Some are commenting on how this isn't an OLED monitor. For many reasons, this monitor is actually better than OLED for anyone in the creative space and for many gamers. Before I outline why, I will point out that I do use an OLED monitor at times for a second monitor and this combination gives great results, but for a primary monitor I would much prefer this on a laptop. For starters, this has way higher nits than OLED, which means it is visible in a much wider range of environments. This is a big issue for a portable device. The response time won't be as good as an OLED at 3ms so for high end competitive gamers that could be an issue but it is very fast so for most it wouldn't be. Again, even in this scenario I personally would just use a secondary OLED monitor as my primary gaming monitor, but gaming is secondary to me so I don't need the absolute best response time all of the time. It also has no burn in, which regardless of what some may say, laptops are not a tv and burn in is still an issue with even the best OLED out there. OLED monitors use about 3x the amount of power compared to this style of screen. OLED does have a wider viewing angle, but when I am using a laptop, this is not only not an issue since I am sitting right in front of it, it can be a detriment when using in a public space since the narrower viewing angle gives a little more privacy. If one shares their screen with multiple viewers often, this could be a consideration for OLED. OLED has true black which mini LED does not so dynamic range under ideal conditions favor OLED, however in actual use I have found this is highly dependent on "ideal conditions" since once the ambient range starts to increase, OLED quickly starts to wash out. In the end, the argument for OLED vs Mini LED is highly personal dependent on how one uses a system and what they value most. For the reasons I've outlined I find for my use as a technical artist a combination of this with an OLED secondary monitor works best.

very good point about the dimming zones.. if you are in EU you can get a laptop and return it if you don't like it for whatever reason within 30 days. I would certainly do this buy and just check the screen, battery and temps if they all work fine. If not return, and get Asus or Razor and repeat

No, you don't want an OLED panel for doing schoolwork because there will be static images on screen fairly often. OLED is nice for gaming and media consumption but it has its drawbacks and I wouldn't recommend it for a laptop. Mini-led or just a nice IPS panel would be a better choice imo. How much money do you have to spend? And do you plan on playing games on it as well?
I personally think they should have called this a Slim 9i, instead of 9i, and the Pro 9i could have been a 17inch laptop, with fully maximized specs with a 4K Screen, as RTX4080+ laptops deserve a 4K Screen. Also the refresh rate is only 165Hz, less compared to the Pro 7i which has a 240Hz. Then again, the Pro 9i could have upto 360Hz & 120Hz 4k
@batmanonholiday4477
