That makgoli story totally brought me back to the country side in korea in the late 70s for me. Thank you so much for conjuring up that memory for me. I totally had forgotten. I too had to fetch makgoli for my grandmother time to time - but my uncle eventually intervened and said I shouldn't be exposed to alcohol like that at 6 years old.

Does the Tempura powder adds to the crispness of the batter? I am anxious to try out this recioe! I haven’t been able to achieve the crispiness of my Korean pancakes, as think I added too much batter! I love watching all your vids, as love Korean foods.

The dipping sauce is spicy? But how to do the non-spicy version of this?
