Welcome to iTripReport's flight reviews, which I focus on reviewing both the soft product and hard product of airlines around the globe. I strive to give you guys a first person perspective of different aspects of the flight. Including the ground service, onboard service, and those views that come with the flight. As you can see, I record quite a lot of the experience to make sure I record what you want to watch. As always, thank you so much for watching.

Dude this one of the best trip reports you’ve done! Bravo 🙌🏾
If there's one thing I remember about my trip to the States back in 2016 was that the pilots up front on both my United transcon flights always seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. They always seemed chipper about flying that 757 cross country. Which is a contrast to those up front on my subsequent flights to the States and back home to Australia on the 787-9. One loves his job, the other, indifferent. The 757 sure is a beast, especially on take-off. From LAX-EWR I did have an ex-Continental 757 given the Rolls Royce engines she had. Have to admit, it was one of the bumpiest flights I've ever had. The Pacific crossing I did prior had a few bumps and consistent bumps for well over 90 minutes due to some storms brewing up that we were ever so gently vectoring around. It didn't help that I was assigned a seat near the rear, third row from the back. I swear I could feel the cabin "bounce" up and down, not just by the luggage being loaded but the wind. Don't get me started when the engines spool up, though. That was some violent shaking. Of course, as a fellow aviation enthusiast, I enjoyed it, if only for a little while. Anyhow, thanks for sharing your experience. I've been subbed for quite a while now, just one of those folks that doesn't comment too often, if at all.

Oh yeah, on this flight, our captain actually greeted everyone in the gate area prior to boarding, then I overheard our First officer's excitement when she found out this was Her Art. The captain also not only made some pretty detailed announcements throughout the flight, but he also individually addressed our cabin during boarding. Both of them seemed definitively happy to be working that day. We were supposed to go through some pretty nasty turbulence over the Rockies, luckily we managed to avoid that.

@@ITripReport Now that you mention it, I do remember the First Officer was present when we disembarked from the LAX-EWR leg, sending us off. Never had that happen to me before, but still found it to be a nice touch nonetheless. On our EWR-SFO leg on the way home, I do remember that we didn't get much turbulence for the duration of the flight. A bit choppy on the take-off as it was a pretty warm day and a bit windy which seems like the norm at Newark. The First Officer did make an announcement before take-off about that too. I also recall we had a ground delay as the initial bank of Transatlantic flights remained on the taxiway to refile their flight plans due to weather en route. Somehow, though we got past all of them and took off sooner than expected. So yeah, I guess the Rockies spared me that time. Otherwise the SFO-SYD leg was pretty smooth too. A few bumps here and there, but then again it's over 14 hours long and you pass through both tropics and the equator, so weather can be unpredictable, especially at night in such regions. I would later realise this in September of 2018 when I flew from Sydney to Tokyo. That whole region between the tropics wasn't fun to say the least, but... It's my own fault for planning a trip that coincides with typhoon season in the region. Oh dear, I went a bit off topic there, I apologise. Please take care.

The POWER of those engines. OMG I love the sound.
Glad to see that the older 757s and 767s are getting some love at United! Definitely some of my favorite aircraft (both make my top 5). Hope to see them in the fleet for at least 5 more years. Great vid Emil and safe travels! Happy 4th of July as well 🇺🇸

Thank you so much, I'm not American, but happy Fourth of July, I'm thankful to be living in this amazing country!
Those engines on start up, and the take off roll ..... pure music to my ears!
The United club in terminal 7 is fantastic. Good local themed food. Great views, good connectivity and lots of space. The outside patio is an added bonus.
I can’t believe you got to fly on one of the Her Art Here 757s! That’s so cool! Amazing video!
The 757 is definitely one of my all time favorite planes because of its design! The “flying pencil” is such a legendary design
What a beautiful aircraft. I love the sound of those engines.
Awesome trip report. I hope I get to fly these transcons one day.
ahhhh the buzzsaw sound of the RB211 !!! gotta love it !
Love the vid. Nicely done! UNITED is my faaaaaaaaavorite airline . The new logo rocks!
I love the new United livery and also that beautiful paint job. You’re lucky to fly on a 757. I’m sure they’re going to be the next ones to be retired. Great trip report as always Emil!❤️👍✈️
I love the close ups of the RR engine. The 757 is slowly going away, following the 747. The 757 was iconic for its time. Slightly overpowered, the take-offs are very enjoyable.

I love traveling up front on a 757, especially ones that board through door 2. The only thing I won't miss are the chemical toilets that most of them have. Delta's ex-NWA 757s were my absolute favorite before they got new cabins. No IFE, but those seats were were supremely comfortable.
I love working with the 757, and love the sound of the RR engines. First time I fly in one was from ORD to SFO
That boarding music. Wow.
Excellent job on the vid! Great pictures, sound and cut. I have done many transcons, back to when UA used 767-200 offering First Class in a 2-1-2 config. and PS 757 with those slopy seats in First and the amazing space in Business Class row 9. It's just a great airline I like to fly with. Thanks again for a great video!
Your titles are really funny!! Great job showcasing this refreshed 75. Regards, UA EE.
I have been to California a few times. However, I have not flown with United. I flew with Continental back in 1989 and then the other times I flew with American Airlines. One of those flights was first class! I love your trip reports! I have actually traveled the country quite extensively. There is a lot to see in the United States!! It’s an amazing country!!
I love flying about the clouds it is amazing.
I agree. The 757 is one of my favorites as well. It’s to bad they threw away the mold a 757 neo could have been beautiful.
love the sound during take off
At 4:01 I do the same thing when I get on a plane; the one time I didn't do it the plane hit violent turbulence, and we dropped 1000' easy. I have always done what you did since that flight, and I've never had a problem flying since then.
United’s new livery is beautiful.
What a gorgeous approach amazing landing
Incredibly well done video and fair review of the flight 👍
I think the new United livery is absolutely beautiful! I love it and I think the blue looks way more slick, modern and artistic than the old continental livery

As always awesome content !
Thanks for the video !!! 😊
United really has made massive strides forward in the last 5 years or so. Great to see considering how poor the merger was handled. Been a loyal Continental/United flyer out of Newark for over 20 years and it's great to see the product return to how it was in the mid-2000s with Continental.
Loved the video...my first one produced by this young man. I’m more about the engine and other airplane sounds than the other aspects, but really enjoyed the coverage of this beautifully-renovated 757. However, I agree with one of the other posts; I found myself reading more than enjoying the video...but that’s OK...I went back and repeated the parts I wanted to see (and hear). Good work!
Haha!! That "Stop calling this New York!!" Btw, the NEW Livery looks sooo much better PERIOD
Due to an equipment change, I flew the 752 from Newark to Brussels in Polaris August of 2019. The cabin was still really clean and everything worked perfectly even though the seats were easily ten years old or so. I love the soft product, like you pointed out with the bedding and amenity kits. Their newer Polaris seats on the wide bodies are even more comfortable and private. You should try their 76s, that business class configuration is stellar!
Great video!
Awesome trip report, buddy!
I’ll admit, at first I wasn’t crazy about UAL’s new logo, but it is really growing on me!

I did a trip report of a "transcontinental flight" from Lima to Newark (8:25) flew on business class on 2019. I missed the New Yersey Her Art by a day. I took off at 11pm (before I flew on avianca A330-200 from san salvador (4:40hrs) The meal and service was awesome, also with polaris seats. Im agree with you when you talk about it, I just take a rest after dinner, and waked up just on time to se the sunrise, we landed betrey 7:30 and 8:00a. The pont is that even I had more than 13hrs of travel, the resting on that bed was enouth, alowwing me to spend all day in manhattan. Also love that 757 RB211 engine sound.
That was excellent report Thank you
Dude! (Sir?), you vids are some of the best I have seen in some time. And I am a AV-Geek vid watcher and have very high standards and expectations. The 757 is also my top favorite aircraft to fly and watch. I spent many hours going from NY to San Fran and back, luckily in First Class. You vid quality is quite high and enjoyable, you hit upon the details and nuances we fusy vid watchers expect. Another enjoyable quality, you don't slam us with countless ads, like some of the other aviation trip producers do. Now that I see you have other stories posted, I will have to delve into them all. Enjoy, stay safe and be well!.
Great video! I've always loved the 757, especially with the RB211 engines. Like music to my ears. Thanks for posting.
I could listen to 757 engines all day long
Nice video man!
Awesome video! You have excellent taste Mate!
Newark’s my home airport I flew one of those new interiors back in early March from MCO to EWR it was super nice
Agree on the sound of the RR engines
God I love the sound of those engines. My favorite plane is the 757-200. I know it's old but no other plane looks like it and likely never will again. Was flying it twice a month until CV. Not sure when I'll resume my trips. I sure do miss them.

It’s a god among airplanes. This unit might be 26 years old but at least they kept it going by reinvesting into it. After all, airlines wouldn’t refurbish a 20+ year old airplane unless it’s darned good. They will be missed, and yes, almost nothing comes close in performance and versatility.
About 9 years ago, my family flew together to Hong Kong in transit to Singapore and missed the connection. Cathay rebooked us without any incidents. Upon boarding, we suddenly realised we weren’t in a Cathay metal but a United 747! For one split second I almost thought we were flying to the States. That was also a stormy night, extremely bumpy flight throughout and only a handful of other passengers. I loved every second of the second leg of the journey to Singapore.
Love how you put more focus on the ife! You should make videos just about different airlines ife.
Cool.
If you are flight simulator user, Quality Wings has a B757-200 and -300 in Continental and United liveries. It is complete with realistic engine sounds, and flight-deck, cabin announcements just like the real ones. Nice video, thank you for sharing.
A very nice product. Way to go United
That was a pretty awesome takeoff 🛫 especially since it’s the same engine used on a 747 👍😁
Nice video I was flying from erw-lax on the 787-10 in August but the changed the plane to a 757-200
superb......... thanks a lot Sir for sharing this video for us
Wow, IFE on UA's aircraft... Am I in a dream? Finally a decent looking cabin from UA.
Groundhog Day is an awesome movie!
Good can work and clear video
You're very cute which makes these videos even better, great work and keep up the good job, definitely subscribing.
Yes, I did many times on Business Class Polaris Japan/Newark round trips and the latest was in Japan/ Honolulu flight 2018.
Great vid! I love the new United Livery. I only fly United Airlines 🤪😜
You would not believe your eyes...and I’m not just talking about the new interior.
It is almost like the engines are singing...great sound.Did a similar flight some years ago with United from SFO to JFK and return and from memory it was a 757 but all Business Class. Really enjoyed the flights having flown to SFO from Melbourne (Australia) via Sydney in a 747 - 400 in Business. Pretty good flight given the current state of the world at the moment. Enjoyed the video very much !!!

Yeah. I love the sound of airplane engines.
Great review. I've flown United Premium Transcon on the 757 4 times (business class), 2x on a 777 (1x bus 1x Econ Plus) and once last year on the brand new 787-10 (Preim Econ...VERY NICE). I do love the old 757's and i'm glad they updated the IFE as it was getting old. I wonder if they are upgrading the other 757-2's that have the 2 sections of Bus Class with 28 lay flat seats...those are my fav!!
I happened to get on a refurbished 777 when I was traveling from Chicago O'Hare (ORD) to Shanghai Pudong (PVG) on United Airlines
Well done... No annoying music!!!
Nice video! I miss California. My fav place to fly
I've flown in opposite direction :) From EWR to LAX and it was red eye flight . I slept 5hrs on a flat bed
Nice
Nice video.... kudos....
Wow that United Club is very nice.

Ya but earth is not a globe or sphere! Earth is flat. Planes fly over a flat earth. Have you ever looked out the window and see curvature of earth?? Of course not, so how is earth a globe/sphere when their is no curvature of earth at 30,000 plus ft in the air! I fly from Sydney to Los Angeles plenty of times and the ocean is never curved at all! Wake up people earth is not a sphere and United airlines know for a fact earth is not a globe. But they have logo of a globe on their plane for mocking people.

Thanks for flying my plane.
Very interesting trip report during the Covid-19 pandemic. Not much different I would say except the meal service where "all" is served at the same time. Never flown United transcontinental, but have flown several times with United`s 757 transatlantic in premium economy. United will always be a preferred carrier by me - even if what is perceived as "better" alternatives were available.. Grat trip report by the way! Very enjoyable to watch!

Hey! Enjoying your video so far... is that wind I hear whistling in the windows in the club? Sounds creepy!!! Flew to Bogota in Feb/Returned in March before everything shut down... United did a fabulous job!!! still watching...
Flown a lot on Continental/United 757s between the mid 2000s and mid 2010s, but across the Atlantic between Hamburg, Germany and Newark. These flights could take up to 9 hours. As a 757 fan I absolutely loved it, amazing airplanes. However the hard product was far cry from what it looks like today 20 years ago, obviously. But the competition was no different -- except for Emirates who flew between Hamburg and NYC too for a few years.
The 757 is one of the best jets ever built but the majority of those in service are at least 20 years old and many are 30 years old. I am always glad to see planes looking nice but my main interest will be maintenance and safety of aging aircraft.
