New Honda CRF450L ADVENTURE

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Introducing the new Honda CRF450L Adventure edition I built over the last weeks with a totally new bolt-on Rally Kit. The goal was to have more space to place smart devices such as GPS, Smartphones etc in a more visible position and also to improve the wind protection but also increase the headlight power by adding a Baja Squadron Pro light.

Can't stop watching this ! Fantastic craftsmanship... Ever since the CRF450 rally concept was released every few months I google and search for announcements that Honda have put a 450 rally into production for the global market. This is the closest we will ever come to a 450 rally, I dont think Honda could do better than this !

It looks very nice. And since you asked, I have never, in all of my many many crashes, knocked off or broken the OEM CRF450L turn signals. Love those things. It would be really nice to see you take off and put back on, the fairing, as that is one of your selling features; the ability to get to the first aid kit behind it.

I have the 450l here in America. 3000 plus miles on it this year already. Preparing for the Baja 1000. I like this tower and wind protection combo. I could see using this for all the adventure riding and then taking it off for racing. But would want to keep the Baja squadron on for racing at night.

I love it, well done! I'd love to have this setup on my 450L for when I do the TAT and CDR and the GPS mount would be perfect for my Trail Tech Voyager Pro. That said, I can't justify the price. Add in the Baja Designs light, shipping and the current conversion rate to USD and this setup is over $2K.

WOW Manny what a clean build. I really think (hope?) there is a market for this kit, it makes so much sense for most of us compared to folks trying to ride 600 lb bikes on dirt. I think there was a movement to huge ADV bikes, a little movement to tiny (at least in cc.... not weight) ADV bikes (WR250), and now we'll settle on usable 450 - 500 cc bikes. Plus, go ride a roadbook rally on this thing, you will have the most fun possible on a dirtbike!

Before the 500 I had a WR250R but it wasn't enough (or so I thought). I'm more of a woods rider and a 350 probably would have suited me better. Now at 62 it seems like the Honda might be the right fit...for me.

Absolutely awesome! Can I ask a question? I value your opinion because of all of your experience and that you work with lots of different bikes and are not biased. What bike do you think is best to do most rally and ADV events? I just did the Hard Alpi Tour Classic 2020 and I absolutely loved it. I did it on my Tiger 800 which was great but quite top-heavy and sometimes felt like it was going to fall apart on the steep rocky sections 😂 I really want to become better and get into rallies and navigation events. I do want to be able to ride the bike to the events when possible, I live near Lyon so I'm pretty central. Do you think a big single with a rally conversion or a twin (Tenere 700/KTM 790)? Or something else? Thanks Manuel, I really appreciate your time 👍

Lovely bike, genuinely don't see why why Honda doesn't sell a bike like that, big market totally missed for a lot of people by manufacturers we want smaller capacity bikes 300 - 500cc bracket with decent service intervals that are lighter than 180kg wet, not exactly hard to do, think between a 250cc dirt bike and Tenere 700 somewhere in between is the sweet spot in terms of weight, power and service intervals.

Hello Manuel- another great video - covered all the bases - bike looks awesome, unfortunately the Honda service requirements to maintain factory warranty are tedious to say the least and very expensive. Here in South Africa 🇿🇦 they have not really caught hold - the CRF 250 Rally has a reasonable following. Generally the mainstream adventure Marques are favored.

$12 for an oil change with filter and two o-rings (if you choose to replace them every time) every 600 miles isn't that big of a deal nor is it any different than the maintenance interval on the KTM 500. Lots of us have stretched those OCI's to 1000 miles and some even beyond that, oil analysis reports have come back pretty good too. Your warranty is out after one year so beyond that it really doesn't matter.

I really love the sleek design of the cockpit having the indicators inside. But if you say you live in Italy, shouldn't it use a regulation EHK No.53 stating that indicators should be placed so that they are apart 75 mm from headlight surface if emiting 20 cd and the distance shortens as the light output brightens to 400 cd (making the distance 20 mm or shorter). My indicators are super bright during daytime, might be almost blinding at night and yet their manufacturer states in manual they should be placed 75 mm from nearest light source (headlamp). I am really interested how this passed roadwortiness inspection. Cheers
