Is it possible to change the neck to a fanned fret neck EURO Neck same as on the Stranberg Guitar or just a regular Fanned Fret neck? Need a fanned fret neck with the same bolt pattern as the Eart W1 with tremolo.

I bought an Eart GW1 from a guy on craigslist and I love it. The neck is nicer than my other much more expensive guitars. I did replace the pickups/electronics and repair the threads on the string lock though.

I just ran across these the other day! Have been up in the air about getting a GW1 with the tremolo based other reviews I've seen because most of them didn't like the trem. Them I found your video and you were going to town on it! I've been a Floyd Rose guy for years and have been wanting to try a headless, but a Stranberg is WAY out of my budget. Lol. Gonna have to pull the trigger and order one now. Thanks man!

Great video but I don't know which one I want to get. I know you can swap out pups and all. But the look of the GW1 with the open zebra pups looks really nice and the pear wood on the GW2 appeals to me over the Ash and I really like Ash. Though I've heard that the fixed bridge has some minor issues and not sure if you get another one like Hipshot just to name someone would it just drop in. Also the bridge on the GW1 how's the quality of it with the options to go hard tail or not on the fly. Does to many options give you more problems? Either way you did an awesome job in the expectation of both guitars. Thanks 👍

Bought one of these. Awesome guitar minus the fret wire being lifted on many of the frets near the ends. And therefore, some of the frets where not level. I should have probably sent it back and tried my luck at another one but I bought a fret press and super glued them in and leveled them. Quit a process on a new guitar but I like messing with that stuff. The end result is awesome and I probably just got one that was a little rushed. Still, I feel like I got my moneys worth and had some fun learning some things along the way, like the difference between pressed in frets and glued in ones. (The glued in ones sustain better and don't have a tendency to pop out.) If you are picky about your frets, inspect that first thing when you unbox one. If I buy another one later and it has that issue, I'm returning it and letting them know why. Otherwise, it's a really nice guitar, and you can't expect perfection for that price. At this point, I feel like I've elevated a 300 dollar guitar to something much more expensive, even if it did take me several hours and some tool purchases to do so. Now I've got something that's more personal with some blood, sweat and tears that I'll probably never sell as it's worth more to me than I could ever expect to get out of it.

I have read this quite a few times now that the frets themselves were high. Funny how only the youtubers get great guitars. This info alone is enough for me to stay away. When i hear and read from others about high frets and fret sprout i tend to worry. I saw one YT'er who bought the guitar himself and his also came with weird fret heights so this is more common than we prolly think. This is a big no no for me. Looks cool as a guitar but if it does not even have level frets at more than 300 of whatever currency then this should be a warning

But in the opposite the ability to have a floating bridge when you need it is where the versatility comes into play It's really up to you which one you feel like suits your situation more for what you need But I believe that either is viable

The website itself claims that the guitar is excellent for heavy gauge strings. It comes with 10's installed, I have 11's on mine tuned to C# standard and occasionally drop to B. Honestly I am not sure light gauge strings will work terribly well. Even with the stock 10s I had a tough time getting the action high enough for my liking. Clearly it's a neck that loves tension.

knowing how the Steinberger tremolo is (this looks exactly the same albeit with slightly different features) I would NEVER trust that trem system as the locking features are just known to eventually break which is unfortunate. Dive only Floyd styles (2 point top loader trem) I think would bode well with headless axes so long as the metal is high quality, we all know how floyd specials are... Hardtail headless are rad though and I love the one I have and plan to get more.

I had a guitar using a similar bridge to the hardtail once. I hated it. Nearly impossible to do a quick tuning tweak mid song. And god forbid you drop that little Allen key on a dark stage. No tuning system should require anything but your fingers. I've never had a guitar with that style of trem like the blue one, but it looks like a better design to me. You can probably tweak tuning without the little magnetized Allen key if you need to, and even if you can't, at least it is in a "ready for action" position.

The best guitars I own are a pain in the ass to replace the strings too: the luthier designed his own locking trem even before the Floyd Roses and Khalers began to spread, the fine tuners are at the nut, but this really massive bell-brass trem system brings even a better sustain than a LesPaul (!) and you nearly never break strings, so, if you use strings that really last long e.g. the Optima or Elixir ones, well, it's not uncommon my strings set stay for several years on a guitar (OK, I own about 30 guitars, so there is low pressure on the strings as long as you cleanse these after playing). Any way, if you use an instrument in concert, you always purchase at least two... And I'm speaking about guitars that costed 50% more than the most expensive ne Fender from the Custom Shop in the 80's, if not near the double... Thus, from what I hear, although these don't sound bad and the ergonomics seems nice, these guitars don't seem to produce the kind of huge larger thzn life sound I'm accustomed to I get from boutique hyper high end guitars, but, for sure, considering how cheap they are, it's impressive and the compact-sound might be very valuable if you're in a 2 guitars metal band and you're complementing a mahogany guitar... Now it can come from cheap pickups but... I tend to not really have feelings for guitars that sound as compressed, I mean, if I want this, well, I have a tube compressor Stompbox with a circuit highly inspired from the LA2 studio compressor and I also own a Dynacomp, so... But if you look for a metalhead guitar, which, I agree, is not really the kind of sounds I'm in for, it seems to be a very interesting thing... I wouldn't be too surprised if these are made in Indonesia, in other terms, at the Cort factory, and very likely... In the same part of the factory that produces the Strandberg guitars : the Strandbergs are expensive and thus they sell less... You won't let the employees do nothing, so... let's produce de-branded Strandbergs...

I seen nothing but rave reviews on this guitar. I was also skeptical about low budget guitars, until I purchased my Harley Benton. I think I'll pull the trigger on the fixed bridge model. Back in 2011 I purchased a Gibson Les Paul for over 2k and its quality is nothing to write home to mom about! This will be my first headless guitar, so I'm not gonna invest a ton of money to experience its pleasure. Or waste another 2k on a guitar that is overrated 🙄 Grrr8 demo here, and we'll convinced this is a decent guitar. After all if its no good it gets returned...!!! Thanks Decon.🤑
