Another great video! I can watch you play all day! Just want to mention our new designs are modeled the GW1 and the GW2. Not a problem old habits die hard! Thank you for a honest review and really demonstrating that tremolo perfectly. We have got many questions about it and you are exactly right. This is not a floyd rose designed bridge and it does not have 3-4 springs to bring it back into position if you really lean on it.. It has one adjustable thick high tension spring that is perfect for regular accent playing not dive bombs. If you are into that try one of our EART licensed Floyd Rose models 😉 Thanks again Chris!

I’ve been eyeing a purple one for quite some time. This pandemic has me hoarding my greenbacks. Never know when the pink slip was coming, even with 30 years in. But I’m seeing daylight, so maybe soon!

@@glenclarkchidley3637 they are extremely affordable and what you get for your money is quality far above what you get from guitars more than 3 times the price.. you can buy an EART and put some awesome upgrades in and still pay less than a stock brand name guitar. Which is what I've seen many of our fans do. From Fishman, Bareknuckle, EMG, Duncan all awesome upgrades on a GW model. I liked that someone did a purple W2 with whiteout Duncan's and white knobs.. really sharp and affordable!

Would you consider creating some GW1 and GW2 guitars with no tops? I prefer a solid color body or a very subtle wood grain.

THANK YOU!!! I have seen so many reviews of this, none demonstrating the trem. "heres a review of the GW1 with the trem, it gets out of tune so I'm not even going to demo it". Just makes no sense to me, so thank you thank you for actually demoing it because all I do is those little accenting things, rarely going more than a whole note. Side note, I think it would be great to see a video talking about set up this bridge.

check out the Overlord of music version of this trem, its basicalla a cheap Steinberger R trem knock off. This one looks slightly different, but the function, or lack thereof, is probably the same. There isnt much you can do with this price point.

Great demo 👍you're a shredder for sure! Love the Neural DSP. The reverbs are so lush on the Plini plug-in. Starting to dig the new body design. Would love to see some solid colors or natural finishes.

I bought the previous version of this guitar a little over a year ago on a whim. After a proper setup, fret level, and intonation, it's become my go to guitar. The floating trem kinda sucks, but I just leave it locked and don't have any trouble keeping it in tune. It's incredible how a $230 guitar can play just as good or better than a $1000 guitar after proper setup.

@@Lcr34 If you know how to set up a guitar properly, I'd say it'd still be worth $300. Mine came with really bad action, uneven frets, and intonated improperly, but after a set up it's really an incredible deal.

When doing string change, do you lock strings in bridge like a floyd?Or do you just put string in bridge and use the tuner keys to tighten tension?

I wonder where the trem tuning problem actually exists..do the strings lock at both ends, or just at the nut🤔

The side adjust truss rods that Warmoth use are made by Gotoh.

How does it compare to your Strandberg? Do you still play that? I can get warble on the tremolo with mine, and I found tuning is good with dive bombs if you remove those locks at the nut. I don't think they hold the string strong enough, but the basic holes for the string ball ends does just fine without it.

I loathe the trem on the GW1. But, my Strandberg was a hard tail. So, I could compare the GW2, to my Strandberg classic, that I had. I would 100% buy the GW2 over the Strandberg. The Strandberg I had, felt a bit cheap in build. The Eart was very solid feeling. The only thing about the Strandberg that I found better, is the endure neck. However, I do not feel like the endure neck justifies the price they ask. IMO, the Classic Strandberg, would be a good deal, if it cost $599. So, it's Eart for me. Peace!

Those pick ups sounds super bright. They definitely need to be replaced they sound tinny.

Great guitars aside from the fairly lacking tremolo, thankfully hardtail is an option! Otherwise a great entry level axe into headless with some work put into it!

I have the W2 blue. No complaints whatsoever. The only thing I didn't like out-of-the-box was it had tens on it instead of nines which I prefer but I still haven't changed the strings yet because they seem pretty decent. This bridge keeps strings in tune better than any other tuners on any guitar have owned or played period And I now have 21 guitars. Received the blue tele model a few days ago and I'm very happy with that also.

Van halen 1st couple albums Rose would not stay in tune. He said u have 2give it a quicklittle jerk upwards 2re tune it. I did it too it was no big deal. Can i put a floyd on a w1 you think???

@@kelvinklaucki got the gotoh made in japan. Is actuakky pretty darn good. Ed set his later guitars so the floyd butted against the wood preventing out of tune. I am constantly on it so doesnt much matter.

The problem with a lot of guitarist's, is their misconception of what stainless steel is. Most people think that stainless steel is a single type of metal that is universally the same, all the time. But it's not. Stainless steel contains Chromium, Nickel, Carbon, Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, Sulfur and Nitrogen. It's an amalgam of metals. There are 4 families of stainless steel, with many different "grades" of structural properties within each family. Most people expect that stainless steel cannot corrode, or be magnetized and will last forever, etc... There are some forms of stainless that are like that, but not all. We have to keep this in mind when trying to debunk the validity of any claim from a company claiming to use stainless steel anything. I do not doubt that they are using stainless steel frets. They look and feel like stainless steel frets. Some people claim that they have experienced fret wear on them. Well, are they using stainless steel strings? Because if so, and the strings are a harder stainless than the fret, it will wear the frets! I have no idea which family or grade of stainless steel they are using. It could be a harder grade, or a softer grade... Who knows. But, I don't doubt that they are in fact stainless steel. Thanks for the excellent question!!
