So funny… I clicked on this to learn about drugstore retinols for the body, because I wondered if such existed. I see your comment, though, and realize that yes, she has a warm undertone and blooms in these colors! So… swerve…but anyway lol. Going to find this lotion. Thank you, Dr Dray!

I'm 60 , but my hands and arms looked 80, I've only had this for a week, but seriously saw a difference the first morning after putting it on before bed!! Now I'm using it on my creepy knees and having amazing results with this area too. I have super super sensitive skin and have had zero issues with this product. Best kept skin care product ever.

Retinol doesn't work overnight thou, its well known it takes longer to actually work but consistency its the key.

@Just Peachy no it isn't stinky at all and there was a noticable difference after only one day ,with more improvement over time. I don't love the film that it leaves on the palms of my hands after use so I just wipe it off of the palms of my hands after use.

I have used this now for 2 months and see a difference in the way my legs look, smooth and skin is brighter. No irritation at all. It has also helped reduce itchy nighttime skin. Love it.

I love the pure one! Got a big pump container for my husband and he’s actually using it. I’ll definitely keep my eyes open for the retinol one. I’m currently not using a retinol but once I used up my current night cream in plan on opening up a tube of the versed retinal body cream that I bought ages ago to try. I like using a retinol on my body and I used up a big jar of the one you recommended earlier that I found at TJ Max.

I’ve been using the tub of Aquation retinol on my body (and occasionally face). It helps with the old-lady crepe-iness above my knees and on my forearms. The only Niacinamide that stings my face is the Ordinary brand, but it doesn’t sting my body.

That sweater !! It is SO pretty.....the color, the design....love the 3 buttons on the cuffs. And it's a lovely color on you. Thank you for all of this info about retinol. I'm just now realizing I should be using it in my skin care.

The gold bond face and body is perfect for someone like my fiance who doesn't Wana do anything other than wash their face and put moisturizer on it. day and night! So any moisturizer that already comes with retinol in it is so good for the skin care minimalist. Same goes for moisturizers with spf

There are many fantastic cruelty free and vegan products out there in the same price range. I also find it impossible to have any effective amount of actives like retinol and niacinamide in a product this cheap. They use the most miniscule amount to be able to market it as a "retinol lotion", but the percentage can be 0.01%. Some other companies actually admitted to this when asked. This shouldn't be legal, since retinol has zero benefits at these amounts.

The difference I have found with the pure moisture is how long my skin STAYS hydrated. So, I’ll definitely be trying this out. Will love to be able to use an all in one for both face and body

I've used the Gold Bond Neck Cream for years and I really think it helps. I ran out of it and didn't use it for maybe a month -- saw more wrinkling and seemed my skin there got less firm -- so I'm never without it now!

Hello Dr. Dray- I am so glad that you reviewed this product! I've seen it on TV and was wondering if I should try it. I currently use Eucerin advanced repair on the body and it keeps my skin soft. I use Peter Thomas Roth timed release retinol on my face and am just about finished using my third bottle. I am going to be starting with Avene RetrinAl 0.1 shortly for the face. However, I might try the Gold Bond Retrinol for the body. Again thank you and really enjoy watching your videos!

Thank you so much! I’m definitely going to give this a try. I also use the right now oil from the ordinary and an AHA 12% glycolic lotion from a brand called alpha that I really love as well.

This is perfect timing! Right now I’m using the Versed retinol lotion, but I’m going to try this one once I finish my tube.

I've found retinol serums and creams to really help my arms now that I'm going through menopause. My skin suddenly became so crepey that my arm skin would bleed profusely if I just bumped into something. I'd be left with big, ugly red wounds, especially since I have a pretty physical job. It took a few months of use, but totally worth it!!!

I bought two of these off Amazon a couple weeks ago. The box has been sitting on a desk, unopened, in the foyer since it arrived. NOW I’m excited to open it….

This is hands down the craziest productive I've found yet. I originally bought it to take care of crepe skin and hyperpigmentation on my forearms from sun damage. I saw results literally overnight... Then I read the ingredients, saw how much urea it had, and slapped some on the keratosis pilaris on the back of my thighs... 60-70% improvement after a WEEK ... Then I put some on the rough skin on my heels, and THAT healed within about two weeks. This is by far the easiest one -and-done product I've ever stumbled across, and I have to say it is DIRT CHEAP relative to how it performs. I bought a tube 4 weeks ago, and I can't wait to buy the big bottle when I am done with this tube!

I’ve been using this product for about three weeks now. Definitely helped reverse a bit of skin damage due to sun. A little bit goes a long way. On the downside, it has a kind of odd smell. And it’s a little bit pasty on the skin.

Would love to know about self tanners and what am and pm routine to follow that won’t strip the tanned look. Love your videos, so educational!

Great video. I do use Versed Retinol body cream. I am 64 and use mostly La Roche-Posay products but this year added the Versed Retinol body cream for face, chest, arms and knee area. Use La Roche Lipikar Eczema on my legs and feet. Your videos are very informative and helpful

Started this about two weeks, esp bc I wanted retinol for body esp arms and legs. Seriously neglected those areas of sunscreen for many years. The product is thick and absorbs quickly, Gold Bond also put out another cream for crepey skin. They got my attention.

I recently started using the Eucerin Lotions. I started with the Intensive Repair. The lotion is very thick and didn't absorb well if I left my skin damp. I had to fully dry in order to apply it. It also left a bit of a greasy feeling. However, my skin hasn't felt that soft and smooth in a long time. When I finished with the Eucerin Intensive Repair, I switched to the Eucerin Advanced Repair. This lotion is lighter in consistency and application is easier, though I still find I need to fully dry my skin - can't leave it damp. This one absorbs a bit faster, but instead of a greasy feeling to my skin, I have more of a tacky/sticky feeling. While my skin feels soft, I believe it felt softer when using the Intensive Repair. So, I may switch back to that one, when I'm done with the giant bottle I bought. LOL Lastly, prior to using either of these Eucerin products, I did go through a bottle of AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion. I purchased it based on Dr. Dray's suggestion, because I have issues with eczema. I had just begun to show evidence of the beginning of a flare up and started applying the Cetaphil Eczema Restoraderm Itch Relief gel, would let that dry, then apply AmLactin. Within a couple of days the flare up was gone and I haven't had another flare up since that one in November of last year. I do think the AmLactin has an odd scent, but it really made a difference in my skin. I may rotate the products over time. :)

Yay! For a new body retinol! I currently use one by Versed and I love it. I was a huge tanner in my teens and twenty's (I used baby oil as a sunscreen :() and sadly my body skin is showing the signs now that I'm almost 40. Since using a body retinol my chest and back sun spots are WAY less noticeable and my skin texture around my knees and shoulders is alot smoother. Thanks for this review I'll have to try this out. I also rotate alpha skincares 20% glycolic acid body lotion into my routine. I alternate between the body retinol and the glycolic lotion every other day and have seen such good results!

I’ve used the advanced clinicals retinol since that other video you posted. I’m trying to preserve healthy function of my skin as I age, and it does look better than before I used it. I was using cerave in the tub before. I also lightly apply cerave healing ointment over it to do body slugging.

I do use this, and the neck and chest. So far so good. I am a skincare snob, but can't afford the body high end ones. I have been using it for 3 months almost nightly. I think the sun damage on my shins and fore arms looks better and the crepey knees. The neck looks better too!

I have been using the Clinical Retinol for face and body ever since you first reviewed it. I'm happy with it & I do think it has improved texture on sun damaged skin. My age spots on my hands are less noticeable. I use it most nights on my face, neck & chest & will keep using it. I don't use it on nights that I'm using my 2% BHA. I wonder if that matters. It does take longer to absorb though and I'll wake up to residue on my pillow case. During the day I've been using the Gold Bond Pure lotion & I like that as well. I use it off and on during the day. It absorbs well & my skin feels nourished. I can also use it under make up w/o pilling. Great product recommendations with good prices! 🌸

How much do you apply to the face?

I saw this on their website and had been looking for a body retinol. Grabbed it a target. So far it’s good. I am getting some sun damage noticeable on my chest and it seems to have improved the look already, just slightly. Will stick with it and see how it goes.

I've put Gold Bond Retinol on my parts my face (cheeks & neck where I can't tolerate Tret). I was cautious @ 1st & waited 3 days before reapplying. Now use almost every day - no problems.

Yes! Hopefully I like this one better than the Advanced Clinical one because the Advanced Clinical one takes forever to rub into the skin, and I am not a fan of the consistency. It was hard to use it all up of how much I personally didn't like it. Fingers crossed!

I've been using the pure moisture one for my face and body for a while now and I love it!! I use Differin on my face a few times a week, and I'd like to start using retinol on my body as well without having to buy another product, so could I use a little Differin on my body as well? If so, how much product should I use for my arms, legs and chest?

I love the idea of a retinol lotion for the body! I’m allergic to squalane so I’ll have to keep my eyes out for something similar

Me too. I have fish (not shellfish) allergy and learned the hard way that the product is derived from whale/shark liver oil.

Thanks for your recommendation, I went and bought this and love it so far. I went get a second bottle! So I don’t run out. And the overnight one with the melatonin and lavender that penetrates 10 layers deep is also amazing. So relaxing, help put me to sleep so quickly after a bath.

Have you tried the crepe skin moisturizer from Gold Bond? I think that's new as well and I'm curious to know if it's effective because crepey skin is beginning to be a problem for me.

I haven’t been using a retinol on the body. I have been using the Gold Bond Pure Moisture one. I needed a body moisturizer when I saw your recommendation on it so picked up the big bottle with a pump. So far I’m half way through the bottle and liking it and will probably repurchase it.

Niacinamide only stings for me when I use the 10% concentration on my face. It doesn’t sting when I use a lower concentration like that in the La Roche Posay face cream. Thank you for all your helpful videos!
