New For 2023: EAA Girsan MC 14T - Easiest Loading .380
Спорт
The new MC 14 T by Girsan focuses on ease of use and high capacity in a very compact design.
Thanks to the Tip-Up design (no slide racking required) loading and firing the MC 14 T is simple and quick,
using very minimal moving parts to go from loading to firing. “With the MC 14 T we wanted a handgun that
was not only small and compact but also allowed people that may have issues with racking a slide the ability
to carry.” said Chase Duffey, National Sales & Import Manager at EAA Corp
Available in .380 ACP with a 13+1 capacity, the Girsan MC 14 T is designed for concealed carry, and especially
for people that may have issues using a standard pistol. MSRP: $498-699.

Neat! When I get to the point that racking a slide becomes difficult I will get one of these.
I love everything about it. I had grandparents that couldn't manipulate a slide, so having the tip up barrel with the firepower of a .380 is awesome. My great grandma had a .32 and it scares me that people still depend on that to save their lives. People are bigger and usually on stimulants nowadays. A .32 just isn't enough. I understand that some older or disabled people cant handle a 9mm, so i think that .380 really fills that niche. BTW my last surviving grandmother has a .357 for the house, and one in her car. And you better believe that she will pull that thing. She still shoots it occasionally, and she lives by herself, so she wont compromise on stopping power.

@@freedomspeech9523 I've seen what looked like an excellent study showing that 380 is the smallest cartridge that stops people from doing bad things in one hit reliably. 80%ish I believe. *What surprised me:* none of the other cartridges (pistol) were more than 8 or 9% more effective. Not 10mm, not 45acp, not .357 mag. They kill more often & are much more effective on bears (I hike a lot in bear country, carry a Glock 31 & laudiobooks on my phone speaker) but 380 ends encounters very effectively. 22, 25, and 32 do NOT. Well, in comparison anyway. Shooting someone with 22LR is still a very convincing argument. From where I sit 380 is a great cartridge for a man carrying a smaller pistol & a real winner for women. Not likely in the US. .380 just can’t gain the popularity it has in other countries because we never had the prohibition against military/police calibers. The 9mm is more powerful, not much bigger and is everywhere. It’s a capable enough round, but it just can’t gain traction.
It is about time that someone copied this Beretta format in .380. They also need to do this in a compact 9mm. Beretta has been doing this with .22Short, 22LR .25ACP, 32ACP and .380 ACP for decades. Although importation of their .380 has been almost non existent, this technology has been out there waiting to be copied. I am surprised this took so long. There have been copies of other guns (like the 1911, etc...) for a long time. I hope this copy proves to be as reliable as its Beretta cousins, If it is I would highly recommend it. 2 thumbs up!

The Berettas, and Taurus has/had a model also, with tip up barrels tend to do okay in the smaller calibers...these guns are direct blowback, and I'd think in .380, and especially 9mm, the recoil would get a bit snappy...gotta remember every gun is a compromise, and certain features sometimes don't really mesh well with other certain features...we own a .25 with a tip up barrel, couldn't imagine my .45 with a similar feature...

@@stevekundzala676 that just stands to reason...I had my .45 out this past week, and I noted the recoil...I also had the mark iv in action, and there is a definite difference...so .380 kinda splits the difference, and our Bersa is much easier to handle than the s&w .380...as for the tip up barrel, it does lend itself to ease of loading, but no one ever gets into another problem for folks with gnarled fingers, how do you easily load the magazine...? 9mm and .380 usually ain't that bad, but you run right back into the recoil issue...don't own a .32, but .25 and .22 get pretty small for bad hands...it's always something...

My wife got the MC14 T LADY for Christmas this year. Love the gun but so far, hate trying to load the magazine. She can't even push one round down into the mag. I know we've gotten older but I was the one who managed to push 12 rds inside and couldn't get the 13th to load.. SORE thumbs for sure. Will need to see if there is a clip loader available to do this step. I didn't get it for her to have to have ME load the mags for her.. We will be calling EAA tomorrow about getting some answers including why they didn't include the single round bottom for the magazine with the gun along with 2 mags, not just the one. For a $682 retail gun both items should have been included.. Will see what EAA says about it..
Sounds like a good idea. Makes me want to get into .380, but.... Owning a Beretta Tip-Up, this pistol doesn't seem to tip the barrel very high. Also, there's no need for a slide stop/release lever. Being a tip-up with extractor, there's no reason to manipulate the slide by hand. That places the tip-up lever on the WRONG side of the pistol, making it more difficult to utilize.
You guys are kicking ass! That is a great clone of the Beretta. I own a Regard MC and Reguard MC Compact, awesom weapons. I have been looking for one of these for quite some time. What other finishes will they be available in?
