I remember them well....they came to Grays Harbor (Aberdeen and Hoquiam) numerous times back in the day. And let's not forget the Wailers, Viceroys, The Kingsmen, The Beachcombers and Paul Revere and the Raiders....all PNW rock bands back in the day.

The best band America gave to the world!

This band inspired lots of musicians to form there own bands. I had a couple of my own bands back in the day in Tacoma. Most of us didn't have the best equipment to play on. There's no comparison to the equipment made these day's. I remember first hearing the witch on the radio in 1963, which was shocking, because the stations then usually weren't allowed to sway away from the lovey dovey heartbreak music played then, like Bobby Vee, Bobby Vinton,, or Fabien & Presley, that type of music. It was like wake up you guy's, it's time to rockn roll.. There weren't that many places to play live then & every band was doing there best to get hired at any place where they could play. Those were the day's my friend, we thought they'd never end, but they did when the Beatles music hit the stations like thunder & then the Stones took over where the Sonic's left off. An old school buddy of mine started the PNW bands site, dedicated to the bands from the PNW. That helped get a lot of attention to the world. It was after that, that the Sonic's kind of exploded back on the music scene & they got back together & started playing again.

Great band still going to this day.

I loved the Sonics, and I did not know the Freddie Dennis was with the Liverpool Five I saw them in 67-68? In Richland. WA. I thought they were really from Liverpool. Who knew. Juan a Rocker since 1956, via Elvis and Little Richard. Juan Aguilar from Sunnyside now live in Yakima

Watching Freddie perform and then seeing how soft spoken he is! 😂
