If they were engineers they would have took a glance at my resume and called but I was rejected - check the human resources department - they seem a bit woke. just sayen 🤣

Thanks for recording it, KZread is still my primary means of finding content. Let's hope X improves their UI so it can cater for long form content soon. Got some different question/responses from Elon in this interview so props to Peter for not asking the same questions in every other interview. It is interesting to think about what could be coordinating the synchronized aging of so many different cells in our body. The horse manure issue was a bit of a laugh and is a good example of how the solution to it can be indirect (remove horses completely). Some comments an optimistic mindsets is a self fulfilling prophecy and the thought of requiring Optimus to not be controlled by a centralized nexus. Everything else, we've pretty much heard before but Peter did some good work making Elon talk about some of the things in slightly different angles and depth from what we've heard before

Synchronized aging problem, I dont get. Why would one have one young arm and one old arm? You've got a microscopic piece of machinary, your DNA, and averaged over billions of years (or a hundred at our scale) result in evenly distributed cell breakdown. Until one of those microscopic civilizations living in the DNA develop AI and it mutates itself to copy over and conquer the galaxy, that is. Or is that cancer?

I just want to say I love khan academy. I dedicated time to learn math which was my worse subject. I learned more from that site than any math teacher taught me. 3 years of daily dedicated 30-60 minutes. Most times I was on for hours. I learned algebra and trigonometry and it really built confidence within me that I was smarter than what I thought or was led to believe by others. I resonate with the advice that Elon gives as I didn’t even realize I was doing some of the principles he talks about. It’s true; set goals, dedicate yourself and don’t let people tell you otherwise. If you screw up just keep trying until you get it right. Figure it out at your pace! Thanks for the great video!

The constant interruptions from Diamantis make this a frustrating listening experience. He just can't wait to jump in with more questions or pontificating about his own experiences. I get it, he knows Elon and he's meant to be super-smart, but I don't care what he thinks - it's Elon's name in the video title, not Diamantis, and like everyone else I'm here to listen to Elon. Also, it REALLY doesn't help that the sound from Elon's side sounds like he's using a Bronze Age phone, while Peter's voice (and his frequent bursts of laughter) has the booming clarity of studio sound. I didn't intend to complain but this experience would have been vastly improved with simple technical preparation and a little bit of thought on how to communicate succinctly in a voice-only interview setting.

Students should get a life skills class in grade school and high school. They need to learn about cooking, gardening and what basic home and auto maintenance entails.. They need to be taught about saving, investing, credit, interest, debt and insurance. They need to learn about preparing a resume, preparing for a job interview, health insurance, retirement accounts. They need to learn how to budget and cover monthly expenses like, rent, utilities, phone bills, insurance and repairs. Young people need to be educated about all these things. They come out of school unprepared for real life. Both parents and teachers need to do a better job of preparing students for life on their own.

Really got a lot more understanding of Elon’s thinking and cryptic statements with this more in-depth glimpse into his thoughts and beliefs. I appreciate both of you and the conversation. As far as living longer than perhaps 100, I’m not at all sure that I want to. Sometimes I just look forward to moving onto the next phase or level and going on from there. I have my own thoughts and beliefs about what that might or will be I won’t go into here. And I haven’t had the best life here although I do know it’s improved this past year there are also things that are painful for me and won’t be any less so in time either and I don’t want to live another possibly 80+ years to 150 with this. It’s not something that anyone can fix either with solving physical development. Gone is still gone. Dead is still dead. Not having here where I can hug them, hear their voice, conversing about current life and nothing can take away the pain the loss of. Some are many years ago. Some not so many and some are fresh. Some are deaths some aren’t. They still hurt. Some make me angry too because it was others who really didn’t have the right to interfere but were given the power to.

I really appreciate the upbeat attitude and the excitement associated with letting people innovate. It surprises me when they talk about evolution as if it were a fact and in the next breath talk about the hardware and software involved in the trillions of cells in our body and the unbelievable complexity. The information (software) in all living organisms, only comes from an intelligent source, it doesn't come from chaos and mutations that degrade everything it touches. The miracle of life only comes from a creator, that is worth the effort to think about.

I have to push back a bit on the population part of this conversation. Although I would agree, the earth is capable of sustaining larger population than it currently has, the amount of humans, with access to such a large diversity of mechanics that will cause harm to the natural world is too high. Space isn’t really an issue. It’s the fact that one human is capable of producing an enormous amount of CO2 just by themselves, when artificial intelligence becomes more abundant and more capable and humans become more responsible in facets of their day-to-day life, such as transportation and consumption, possibly then a larger population would be acceptable. But for now, the human impact on the natural world, such as whaling fishing, throwing trash into the ocean, throwing trash into landfills, the extraction of fossil fuels, the decimation of the plant and animal populations of the earth. A large population is not sustainable.. the resources we consume are also not sustainable and animal. Extinction rates have been dramatically increasing. The evidence is overwhelming that humans are responsible for probably 90% of those extensions that happen. It’s important to look at the earth as a giant ecosystem, in which every small animal plays its own part or larger or smaller everything adds up. This is newtons second law for every action there’s an equal and opposite reaction and so all of the billions trillions of these tiny micro factors add up to a large ecosystem and humans are clearly throwing that ecosystem out of balance with their irresponsible nature. I’m not going to get into climate change and global warming because I’m not that kind of person and I do not want to debate. But the evidence is staggering. Humans are destroying this planet, not just for ourselves, but for all the species that live here. Respectfully thank you.
