New Eczema Treatment Fights Bacteria with More Bacteria

(DENVER, Colorado) - Eczema is the most common skin condition worldwide. Without effective treatment options, patients must often suffer a lifetime of painful, itchy skin. In a new clinical trial, researchers at National Jewish Health are exploring a surprising new approach - fighting bacteria with more bacteria.
It may seem counterintuitive to apply bacteria to skin that is frequently plagued by bacterial infections, but the hope is that by applying good bacteria in a lotion to eczema patients’ skin, a healthy bacterial balance will be restored. “The beneficial bacteria actually makes natural antibiotics that kill staph aureus, the bad bacteria on the skin,” said Donald Leung, MD, head of the Division of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology at National Jewish Health. “We know that eczema patients don’t have the good bacteria on their skin that’s needed to kill staph aureus, which allows bad bacteria to multiple and take over.”
The initial trial lasts one week, during which the patient applies the lotion twice a day. Researchers are then able to analyze patients’ skin DNA to see if the bad bacteria has been reduced. “The goal is that we eliminate the bad bacteria on their skin altogether,” said Leung. “The cream helps to restore the natural balance of bacteria on the skin, which will help create the barrier skin has to keep harmful bacteria out.”
Leung says more research is needed, but the hope is that this will clear the skin of eczema patients, and ultimately lead to a long-term solution for those who suffer from eczema.

I uncovered this skin rashes guidebook 2 winters ago when I was going through a really awful eczema outbreak in the wrists and hands. Dry skin, itching and also soreness were felt around my very own hands. This really is a good manual. I was not out of the trouble of covering my very own hands and wrists, thanks for this guidebook. It is best to apply this. View reply below to see the guide name

I have eczema on my neck, under my knees, above my feet(where the bone is),and on my arms. I am 11 years old and ive been living with eczema for my whole life and they say that I got it from my grandfather, but I think they are just not telling me that it is from bacteria and now i know that eczema is very bad to the skin and it can cause symptoms like itching.I hope I get treatments other than my lotion wich is AVEENO and the doctor said it can cure eczema but it only helped stop the itching and I recommend it ro people.........

I had been enduring skin rashes since I was a teenager and immediately after above 20 years, I was not capable to treat this specific illness. The issue still persisted right after visiting several physicians and also making use of diverse suggested goods that have merely a short-term effect. The last resort would attempt eczema guidebook . In a month of making use of the guidebook, my ailment had resolved and never had this rashes again for some time already. View reply below to see the guide name
