After using omeprazole so many years without really helping my LPR I discovered alginate therapy. I take a supplement called Nutritist Refluxter before sleeping that has helped control my LPR because I no longer wake up with a sore throat.

Veganism gave me suicidal depression. Went carnivore and it saved my life and marriage. Lost 25 pounds of inflammation and fat. Have a six pack at 32 for the first time in my life and am never hungry and eat whenever I want.

I can't stand the CPAP. I have tried it numerous times and for hours at a time, yet I fail to sleep or sleep well with it. Hopefully other people get benefits from it, but I will look toward alternatives.

CPAP has helped me a lot. I no longer get jolted awake gasping for air. During the day, I used to fight really hard to stay awake in long meetings or just at my desk. If you have a hard time with CPAP, start making adjustments. I got a heated hose and humidifier chamber since I complained about the cold, dry air initially. I played around with the temperature / humidifier settings till it didn't feel to cold or dry. I got a hose wrap and played around with the humidifier settings more when I had hose condensation issues. I didn't like the full face mask so I switched to the nasal mask. I had issues with exhaling so I made adjustments to my ramp up time and enabled EPR (Exhale Pressure Relief). Again, make adjustments if CPAP is too uncomfortable for you.

This is a joke. CPAP doesn't work for me. I've used it faithfully for 17 long years and tried every available mask type. The sleep doctor says sorry, you are in the minority and I'll be lucky to make it to 60. Blood pressure meds haven't helped.

The results of my sleep study convinced me: my oxygen levels dropped to 67% ! plus I slept less than 4 hours a night on average because I kept on waking up all night. After a week with my CPAP I managed to to sleep 8 hours, something I only dreamed about.

Thanks for the video. The hospital did a bronch on me and sent my cultures to National Jewish for testing but never called me with the results and now I find them in the portal a year later and their pulmonary is refusing to see me and now I see that I have M. Fortuitum. At least I see that it's in the lower category of infectivity so maybe that's why they are not worried and not even following up but I continue to be symptomatic. I guess I'll have to find another pulmonary who is willing to work with your institution to see if I am still culturing this and if this is a problem for me. Unbelievable how some doctors can be so dismissive and I have traditional medicare so you'd think they would be willing to work with me since there are no referrals but nope, not interested.

The Mayo Clinic says controlling three things stops the progression of coronary artery disease: smoking, Type II diabetes, high blood pressure. And these three things reverses the disease: reducing stress, a diet of fruits, vegetables and legumes, and serious exercise.

I got diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, saying i stopped breathing 51 times during the at home sleep study. Weird thing is, like most people, I wasn't aware until my mom pointed it out when i was 16. Now I'm 29, and is waiting on my cpap machine to deliver. Can't wait to get into a better circadian rhythm.

Gluten free diet got rid of my GERD. 10 years and docs couldn't figure out why i was experiencing so much reflux and offered no solutions other than surgery which i refused. One day my 13 year old son strongly suggested i consider a gluten free diet and he made me a gluten free chocolate cake to prove that it wouldn't trigger my acid reflux. I tried it and was in shock. For years i avoided chocolate cake like the plague because a few bites was enough to send me to the ER. But when I had zero reaction to this gluten free cake i was convinced. Went on a gluten free diet and my GERD disappeared. For the 1st time in 10 years i felt normal again. Its no been 15 years and i haven't had severe episodes. The only time i get very MILD reflux is when i eat foods with GLUTEN. which I try to avoid and only indulge occasionally.

I use the nose piece with my CPAP. I first did not like using the CPAP machine and I could not stand it. However, I traded for a half an hour and then one hour and then two hours and then surely I started wearing it for the whole night and noticed that I would stop snoring and I can breathe through my nose all night without getting stuffed up. Now I love my CPAP machine and it lets me get a good nights sleep. You just have to Keep trying to get used to and you’ll like it after a while. It will help!

What's home remedies got to do with Bigpharma medicine? They're on the opposite poles, so to say. The former is self care, with whatever is available at home, or easily available. While the latter is renouncing care to a professional, who believes he's an authority on health & who's motivated by profits. These two are not the same.
