I pray they find out who killed these poor folks. I used to love going to Lake Oconee, but ever since this happened I don't like it anymore. I've been out there maybe one time with my family since this happened and it's just not the same. 😢 Why do ppl have to be so mean?

@wlachappelle This is a common tactic LE uses when they have a suspect to stir the pot and make people get on the phone so they can listen using phone taps.

They were probably sequestered so that the perpetrators could extract information fron the victims by leveraging their seperate locations, which made them more vulnerable. The forensic pathologist noticed Russell's fingers showing signs of being pressed on, like when you want to extract info or make someone apologize forcefully.

@@tammyharris2642 Not particularly Delphi was thinking of Chynna & Blake Dickus, Franklin, Indiana & Lisa Kopanakis, Portage, Indiana but going back to Kentucky there is also another double murder that of Kathy & Samantha Netherland, Bardstown any of these could be connected all horrific with no respect for age youngest victim was ten years old.

You know it’s the son in Florida…he was sketchy imho 😢

I've been checking up on this case every few months since the week of the murders. I never imagined 10 years on it would still not be solved :(

They did get a hit on CODIS a while back, they're currently placing more context on this finding. I personally think it was a grandson or someone they considered as their own. I believe he stayed at their place prior to the killings, which explains why the house looked in pristine condition. The main perp had ample time to clean-up or know the layout well enough to not make a mess. He kills them both & calls for reinforcement from an accomplice who arrives by boat. They originally planned to dump both bodies in the lake, but for whatever reason, they did not follow through. The fact that the main perp placed towels underneath the garage opening meant he was planning to stay in the house for a while & comfortably so. He had to vacate the premises because one of the perps found it too cumbersome to dump Russell. It was probably time constraining as well. In my opinion, it was money or will related.

That's what makes this really odd but I'm in agreeance with you I'm thinking it had to be somebody close that they knew very well and were comfortable with and why did they cut that man's head off? Evidence like a bullet maybe?

@@schulze25 Decapitation was performed to conceal ballistic evidence. We cannot say for sure nothing was stolen. A junkie would only go after cash.

Probably, one of their adult kids is in financial strife and mummy and daddy wont or cant bail them out.

Thank God for DNA testing. This is so sad, but all dark comes to light. I pray for the family of the victims.
