Magnificent red paint, i think the best shade of red in the ferrari catalogue and it matches very well with the black roof. Aaaaaaa really jealous! Congratulations!

I was not sure about the 488 when i saw them first, but in your spec. i think it´s bang on, love that colour, the black roof and side skirts. It´s hard to convey the sound on recording, the 488 sounds a bit muted while the 458 screams up the rev range.

Very well chosen ! I’ve seen rosso fuoco on a 458, and it blew me away (in natural light), so this must be a very nice combination. Needless to say the 488 is a top machine. Enjoy !

TheCarGuys.TV The tech inside which you describe puts me off if I am honest in terms of Sat Nav and Radio. I did a Pilota driving course about 18 months ago in the 488 and 812

Congratulations on a spectacular car. The only thing I can think of to improve it would be to use carbon finer hub caps (not yellow) and to paint your brake calipers black. Getting rid of the yellow would actually make the Fuoco paint pop as it’s not upstaged by the yellow. BTW, that whole yellow calipers thing is so overplayed, and it was never a good look to begin with. It makes elegant and sophisticated cars look like ghetto toys. Cherrio!

Thanks, Richard. Two reasons - I fancied the stiffer coupe, and the lead time was shorter. That sealed the deal

I got my 488 few weeks ago, I also have a Performante and I agree with the controls. There's a lot of lag, audio system is beyond awful and way too many screens. On the Performante everything is simple. They need to clean it up for the replacement.

I just looked up the criteria, I'm not sure the reason you never answered my question, maybe you don't want to jinx your pista order... 1) have bought a 488 ✅ 2) own a F40, Enzo, etc ☑ 3) be part of ferrari racing ☒ 4) have the descresion of ferrari ☑ Looks like you should get your order in if not already placed!! 👍 🇬🇧

I'm not blown away by the noise still guys, but maybe it's just alot better in person. Bit of a boring question, but is there no run in process on new Ferraris? Also.. that surrounding area of the dealership looks INCREDIBLE.

New Forest, where I grew up. I think he may have driven down my road as it's only 2 miles from Lyndhurst. House prices are a bit mental because it's a national park these days.

Best spec and colour I’ve seen on a 488. I actually like this ... Graham T and I “argue” a lot about 458/488. I prefer the former - however, this spec 488 is rather special 👍

Is it true that Ferrari’s are already broken in so when you pick up you don’t have to worry about watching the revs for first thousand miles or so? Heard another youtuber say it...Cool video, love that contrasting roof!

Lama 67 I think nearly all manufacturers put each engine and transmission through their paces on a bench (not in the car itself) to ensure they actually work, so theoretically speaking the cars are already run in

Yes there’s no real running in procedure, but I like to take it easy for the first 500-1000 miles

As you were comparing this to the 458 give it a chance.......you forgot to mention the 458 is a lot prettier and more importantly sounds a lot better !

I have a touchscreen on my $25 K Subaru, and none of this keyless entry BS. But only 190bhp. Lol. In some of these expensive cars, technology gets in the way of function.

Damien-Would you still rate your 458 over this ? And will you ever part with the 458

Damian.....got to say you didn't look like a guy who was stoked to be picking up such a car....not sure you would have ever bought it other than the ludicrous procedure of buying cars you dont really want to get a car you actually do ...ha the perils of being rich....fair play it looks like a beauty but its clear it didn't set you on fire...

I'm not bothered about the radio selector on the 488. Who listens to the radio in a Ferrari? Never even wondered why there was one in there.

For all things you listed here & given current price. Makes this by far my top choice for a Ferrari above the 458. Also 100% with infotainment - although to be fair to the prancing horse. they are all shocking. and well said on keys!!

Thanks for the feedback, Colm - always useful and we love self-improvement. I wasn’t aware of Nick, so thanks for that tip. If I’m being honest I don’t see a huge difference as the styles seem v similar, but I’ll make sure we get more car in in the future.

TheCarGuys.TV yeah great looking car but Aston Martin and other super car companys have still kept a good sound with their turbocharged cars. It's sounds nowhere near as good as the 458.

The sidescirt is the cars weakest point. Not especially attractive..

Im not a hater, but i really dont link the design of the 488gtb. Ferrari makes amazing cars, but this model is in my opinion not amazing. But maybe im a bit spoiled, an it is a nice car, what makes you like his car?

Think I watched this round the wrong way I've got identical 458 to you and agreed better all round!! In this you prefer this one ? Guess you were carried away as it was new lol !! Luv your videos though !!
