even if the fob battery is totally dead you can place the fob in a special pocket in the center console on the car will start

@@DavidWaltermyer I got the battery at Dollar general and replaced it and it started right up, I gotta replace my fob as it is cracking but I got my car home thanl goodness. Thank you again, this video was super helpful

The manual specifically tells you not to use the hidden key to pry open the fob.

Finally got it popped open. Had the complete unit but could not separate the parts to get to the battery.

Finally got it done. Didn’t have to go to the dealer. I was just afraid to break it 😅

Looked like a good idea, until this method cracked my key fob instead of popping off like the video shows. Would suggest NOT using the hidden key to pry off cover…..just a warning.

Poor peoples. If you'd be so filthy rich as I am, you'd go to your dealer and have battery exchanged for hundred bucks, plus tip. That's life.
