Ive run those exact same subs and the only issue I've had with them is that the spider separated from the voice coil and it arced the tensile leaks till it blew

When I installed my Orion XTR 750.4 at first I had only what I had to work with so I had to mount it upside down. Drove me nuts. But once I got my extra wires, bus bar, and CT 1000.1D, I was able to adjust it around having the 4 channel above the monoblock mounted on the back of my rear seat which allows me to pop it down and adjust it from the driver seat of my 04' Passat 1.8T Sleeper Wagon.

I love Orion amplifiers! I have 3 of them. I have the HCCA 4,000.4, HCCA 2,000.4, and the HCCA 11000.1. I have also had 2 of the XTR 2,000.4's. They have all been amazing amplifiers.

@Seth Tynan indeed. I've got the Maxspeedingrods Q96 Android head unit teamed up with it. Just Amazing! Can't wait to get those NVX 6.5in/1inch tweeter component sets for the front and rear sets. VW has blown me away with this Wagon since everywhere I would add sound deadening they already have. I plan to upload a walkthru of my setup soon. Just finished custom installing a pair of flood lamp style LED Fog lights on the ride so once this cold rain/snow passes in the next couple days I'm taking it out to a park where I can Share my progress and share the differences between everything closed up and when it's not at full volume. I do plan to get 2, 4ohm DVC Tropo XL 12s wired down to 1ohm at some point in a vented 32hz box for events and competitions as I've came back from hiatus now that my daughter is a teenager. Great bonding option 4 the summer. But as I have it setup for SQL I'm currently running a 3/4" sealed box that runs perfect for the Single 10in 2ohm DVC CT Tropo sub wired down to 1ohm. All together sounds fantastic in the ride. In the process of creating a cover for the trunk area of the wagon.

Nice but you really need to put your 2 15" Black Brick subs back in that box.

Need your help. Trying to figure best box to make for 2 hippoxl122r's. I made a box (first one ever) for one and it sounds great. At 2.8 cubic ft, but I want to make a box for 2, but I want middle slotted port so that I can open arm rest in back seat for wind to come thru car. Can you help me out with trying to figure size. I would love for box to stay at 15" high, good snug fit that way. 34" wide would be most, but deep I'm having trouble. Current box for one is 15x32x18 side 4.25" slot port

@Parker The Basshead I would love to see you try a pair of the DS18 HOOL-X15.1DHE on your Martis amplifier when you get it back. Each of those subwoofers have 118mm peak to peak excursion, that's over 4" of excursion each! I don't think I have seen many, if any 15" subwoofers with the much excursion. I just bought 2 of the DS18 EXL-XX12.4DHE and those have 84mm peak to peak excursion, or just over 3.3" and they are insane! I can't imagine what the HOOL-X15.1DHE would do with enough power. I am running my 2 12's on an Orion HCCA 11000.1 with 120AH of Yinlong, so I have more than enough for the 2 12's.😊 Edit: I bought my 2 12's from Big Jeff's Audio because of hearing of him from your videos. I got a hell of a deal on them!

So my power ran to my 2nd battery and my ground ran from my main battery to 2nd battery should the battery be grounded to chassis as well then run ground from 2nd battery to amp?

Hey Parker, I’m looking for the best sql subwoofer that can get really loud in a sealed enclosure. I want to put 6 10 inch subwoofers under my seat in a 2018 Ford f150. I want 3 subs firing forward and 3 firing up. I have a 3.5 inch seat lift. Box specs is 53 length, front height 12.5, rear height 9.5 and width of 11. What subs should I get? I have about 3500 rms of amp power I’m working with.

You could try putting rubber stand offs on the 8k to prevent any vibration damage

A lot of times even rubber standoffs are not enough. My amplifiers are not even mounted to my box and I am very worried about how much they bounce when playing subsonic frequencies.

@@sethgt1234 try buying a rubber platform, or a thick foam platform same shit they use for knee pads Klein makes them , then get long wood screws and screw into the wood but use more rubber washers

Parker, I have heard conflicting information on attaching the Amp to the Box. I want to attach my Surge10k to my box to be a little cleaner but almost every shop told me it isn't good to do so... What do you think? (You should really try the Surge Audio Amps BTW.. Do well above rated and are Korean made. Old Co-Owner of Wolfram started the brand).

If your box doesn't flex and is bolted to the vehicle, and you used rubber isolators then you shouldn't have a problem.

You have to buy a American bass vfl 12!!

Hopefully there D2s! and that 8k at . 5 ohm be enough to get em stinkin. The 2 new 3" 8 layered D2 400oz 15s I built are pretty stout but they will start stinkin with them on my cab45 at half ohm. It was ok at 1ohm but at half that thing really pumps out the power. On sundown unofficial he dynoed a cab45 at .5 ohm and dynamically it made 9800w! Why people dismiss dynamic like it's a fake measurement is beyond me... cert an uncert is a test tone I get it it shows how it will pump out steady but you don't really don't need that who listens to test tones but dynamic is more like real world function it's a 40htz (typically used) pulse tone i e. Like music!!!

Any amp wired @ 1/2 ohm will never SEE its wired=@ rest impedance, while playing music, or burping test tones. Wiring an amplifier to a dummy load, on an amplifier dyno, is nothing like a reactive, musical load. Amplifiers will try to double there power, as impedance gets halved, but they dont produce as much power to a speaker as people think. Example: I have been wired to 1/2 ohm @ rest, and when i had the term lab power probes hooked up @ my peak= loudest test tone/burp freq., i was rising to 2 ohms! My 4k amp @ 1ohm, does 2k @ 2ohms, so that was the actual power my subwoofer was getting=2k, even though i was wired @ 1/2ohm @ rest. Get your setup ✔️ on the power probes, @ your peak freq., for your peak Db, and let us know. Hope this helps, have a nice day, fellow bass head!

​@@evilinside5984 And it all depends on type of box, subwoofers, cabin of vehicle, etc. that will determine impedance rise. The only way to actually figure out how much rise you get in any particular system is how you said. With a termlab, or multi meter and amp probe, ect.

Anyone notice the smoke from 4:18 to 4:30 from the amp I think it was the 5k amp he had on the other side of the boc

It would take them touching to short out. It would take very high voltage to be able to arc across any gap. 12 volts DC is not even in the realm of being able to do so. Edit: It takes about 30,000 volts to jump 1 centimeter under normal temperature and humidity.

they are made with a slight offset and when put in, the terminal bolt keeps them from moving. So say you flipped them around, then they are definitely touching.

I got two l7 solo baric on 3k in my work truck all old Ford headliner SUCKS! Lol I suggest either replace or the little bit of headliner that falling glue it down while It’s only a small amount I have to reglue the front every couple months or it’ll be hanging a foot down . All old fords are gonna rattle crazy especially back vent windows lol

@@antfrmthe8885 I have a jp23 on a mechman 240a alt and a single xs power battery... the oem replacement for the chevy cobalt... d4700. I don't drop voltage into the 13s. I stay in 14s, might be different when I hook up my new sub at a 1 ohm load in the box (I hooked it up free air but didn't full tilt so I might drop into 13s now but I'm still strong) for a 5k amp I'd want closer to a 300a alternator personally.. if you can only get a 240a you'd want a couple reserve batteries as well.. lithium is a good way to go but the price is what kept me with agm battery (and I live in cold climate so lithium would be destroyed) start with the biggest alternator you can find while still being a reliable brand with some longevity.... you have to upgrade wiring you'll probly need 2/0 wire or dual runs of 1/0 for an amplifier that big... I'm just saying all this because I didn't think about all this when I first started and now I am a year later still unfinished... it Costs a lot of money for the hidden things you don't think about.. good quality ofc wire.. the terminal connectors to connect all the wires. alternator. (I spent like 400 bucks on that 240a alt) the battery.. new battery terminals.. just gotta think about all that stuff along with the big 5k amp that you've been eyeballing lol... I bought all my equipment over time all this to say I felt like I was going a "cheap" route.. saving money on that 2300w amp I only got it for like 200 bucks or something... but the rest of my system is suddenly well into the thousand dollar range of money spent.. not to mention the 1000 dollar psi sub going in it... lots of money in this hobby. if you got that. you're good lol

Hey just noticed ya might want to take a look at your tire our you might not make it there. When these go they go and shred and due to your truck being lifted might end badly. Front Left tire if your looking at it head on. Look at the side wall where your tree meets the side wall if I can see it on the video plus hot roads. Anyway just looking out.

Dont know if you will see this but Just letting you know something was smoking on the passenger side of the truck from 4:16 to 4:30

I would not put the amplifier directly onto the box. Vibration damage is one of the #1 reasons for amplifier failure.

really seems like you did a poor-quality install like more people do these days. more concerned about the multiple amps putting out 1000's of watts rather than running the proper wiring .. now you have turn-off pop a relay isn't going to fix it. A turn-off pop is just for the simple fact that the amp needs to turn off before all the other equipment. more less need a timer delay like a tr-7 from pac audio.
