Her not calling the police upon finding Maddie dead or finding out he killed her confirms for me that she knew. Let's say she didn't know, and came home that night and found Maddie dead and was scared of Sterns, she had the perfect opportunity to get help the second police and her family showed up.

I “lost” my almost two year old, in my house, with my husband, myself and older sister all home! We had gates to the upstairs and to the basement. My two year old could not have gotten out! I was hysterical, my husband hysterical, big sister hysterical. We found two year old under a toy drawing chalkboard. She crawled under and fell asleep. I was on the phone with 911 when my husband found her. I was a hot mess for days. It really shook me up.

My daughter was about 3 and wandered off for like 2 minutes when she was playing with her cousins outside. I freaked out screaming for her. I can’t imagine not having tears streaming down my face if my daughter never made it to school and was missing 12 hours

I feel so so awful for poor Madeline. It makes me cry. Such a bright young soul and was in the care of evil, sick people. May she rest in peace and paradise with no memories of the horrible things that happened to her in her life on earth. May her soul feel joy and serenity.

I have a family friend that was a principal at a school that put a kid on the wrong daycare bus on the first day of school (the kid didn’t follow directions and moved to a different line with a friend when the teacher wasn’t looking). It took that parent over a year to not be hostile to my friend.

What I'll never understand is how they - or most murders for that matter- would ever believe they could get away with it? Neither of these two are particularly smart..at all. One thing about lying is: no matter what you do, there's a part of you that knows the truth, which will keep whispering in your ears "you know you're lying" and "do these people know I'm lying and are pretending not to know?" And "act normal, act normal". You can conceal the truth as much as you want. But it will never hide.

If you're actually a good parent, you always know where your child is, and you have a backup plan to figure out where they are. The body language says it all

Is it? Jenn's account is that Maddie sometimes walked to her grandmother's office, which was only a short distance from her school. Jenn said that _she_ drove there from the school, to see whether Maddie had gone there that day. It seems reasonable to me that, once there, she stayed and started to call her other family members (who gathered there with her) and Maddie's friends, to find out whether they knew of her daughter's whereabouts. That location is, after all, closer to Maddie's _presumed_ last known location, than is their house.

Also, if she left her phone at home, why would he say she was rummaging through her bag looking for headphones...she would have waved him down for her phone, since apparently it was at home. So many lies...

​@saraandrade42 in the UK you have to report the child being absent before 10am. If you don't they will contact you then to ask why they aren't in school. There was a case of an 11 year old boy walking from home to school. School thought he was off sick at home, mom thought he was at school. He had been kidnapped 😢 So they are now very strict with this. If the child is missing it would be roughly 2 hours after last seen that the police would then be notified. In this case it was minimum 8 hrs before it was reported! Although we know what has happened but if she was missing that's such a long time.

I lost my dog for 15 minutes and in those fifteen minutes I called my partner whom I live with and was at work, called my parents in another state, posted she was missing on the neighborhood app and all while I was actively driving like a maniac through the neighborhood screaming her name out of the window, crying and shaking 😭 I can’t imagine if I had a child who went missing 😖

And why would she be embarrassed to be dropped off at the school when nobody was there that early? His lies are so obvious.🙄🙄😠

Someone else pointed this out, and I agree - "she never made it" is odd wording.

He was all about answering questions about Madelines apperance but wasnt too quick to pull out his phone for a pic of Madeline, neither was her Mom..

She said "I didn't attend the birthday party" when she's asked for a photo and she has to SEARCH from others pics from the party. WHY didn't she have pics of her child. She said WE dropped her off a half block away. He said it too. Which isnt possible When the Principal called she says shes fine!?! Doesnt bother to ask if the laptop is traceable. THIS MOTHER KNEW!!

STORY TIME:😊 When my oldest son (now 22) was 3 yo. Me, him, and his Dad went to Walmart. I forgot to grab something so I told his dad to watch him while I ran back and grabbed whatever it was. I specifically told him " do not take your eyes off him" I was gone maybe 3 minutes tops. As I am coming back towards where I had left them, I see his dad running back and forth and I knew he had lost him. I told him tell customer service we have a missing child and I ran towards the toys on the opposite side of the store. I hear the worker come over the intercom and say" attention all employees and customers, we have a code Adam" They then start to describe my son and what he was wearing. His dad had given them the wrong information about the outfit he had on 🙄 as I round the corner, I see a handful of people in a group running towards each other right in front of the toy section and out of the middle of them comes my son, running and laughing because they were chasing him. I can tell you, in the 2 minutes from the time I first seen his dad running back and forth looking for him until I laid eyes on him by the toys it was the longest time in my life. When I heard "code Adam" I almost lost it. The fear, anger, stress and joy when I seen him that I was feeling was the most intense feeling ever. It took me so long to calm down enough to cuss his dad out. I say all that to say. Seeing Jenn Soto stand there all cool calm and collected talking about her missing daughter blows my mind. Then to add insult to injury, she's comforting Stephen Sterns 🤦‍♀️ I can't wrap my head around it. That 2 minutes that night was the worst feeling I have ever felt and she's just like, whatever 🤬 She knows something and I think she is covering for Sterns and I really hope Maddie gets all of the justice she deserves from everyone who knew anything. You can't tell me more people didn't know that she slept in the same bed as that monster. Her own GM said Maddie didn't like sleeping alone. So sad for that little girl, everyone failed her. 😢
