Great video. All this can be overwhelming to newbies. Thanks for taking the time Omar.
Always great tips! Thank you!
Amazing video! 🙏 I was searching for a nice Mic to improve my audio quality. This will help my channel. Thanks! 💪
Lovely video..with the perfect info needed.. Would love a comparison of a 2 person podcast setup with this NT mini and the rode Wireless Go 2 !
Amazing video! Thank you for the value you provide 💎
I am always looking to upgrade my microphone thanks for the review
Thanks for this. Great video !
Thank you for sharing this! yes yes yes I'm, I'm about to buy 4 of these for my podcasts
The "I'm-disappointed" look on the dudes face is heart wrenching. Check out when he says the name of this mic at 6:55
Thanks for the video. I've finally decided for this mic :) which boom arm are you using in this video?
Thanks Might be useful for casual casting.
This is great. I have a DECENT USB mic that works well for livestreams, but have honestly been wanting to level it up, and hopefully find a new solution for my audio for my normal videos as well. With the app functionality, Would you consider this a good solution for recording a separate audio track and then adding it to your videos in post later? Seems pretty intuitive with that app.
Very cool microphone. Good broadcasts!
Great video...I was just looking to purchase this mic. One question: which boom arm are you mounting this onto? Thanks
First commenting from Ghana 👌 But I want to know if your KZread channel passes the 12 Month can your channel still be monitized thanks
Thank you for this - very helpful! What is the main mic you are using at the start of the video?
That has to be the coolest mic I've seen. I got one from Walmart a few months ago, but not this brand, I think it was a Blackweb for about $40.00. I have yet to try it out, because I'm still trying to figure out what type of KZread channel I want to come up with. I like that mixer and app as well. Something to think about getting later down the road.
Gonna go get it for my voice over projects and auditions thanks man!
Thanks for testing out the mic! I think it sounds great when the user speaks over the mic versus when it's a little in front of the user - will definitely test it out for myself. Would you be able to do a video comparing this to the Rode NT-USB mic, please?

Nice review Thanks so much
Would love to see this compared to the Tula Mic. Great review, Think
Awesome video, don’t know if this has already been suggested, but a comparison video between this mic and Shure’s new MV7?
How about compare it to the Fifine I believe you reviewed a while back that comes with a boom arm?
Thanks Omar, would love to see a comparison with the Elgato Wave 3
Hi Omar, would you talk about projecting your voice? I find that it's hard to judge the sensitivity of a mic well unless you first learn how to project your voice.
Can i know wich camera do u use?
Love the vid! Can you somehow set this up with your camera? I have a GH5
Now that Rode came out with the VideoMic GO II, how does it compare with this? I feel another video coming! Keep up the good work.
Nice Audemars Piguet there at 5:15 min.! 👍
Would I be able to plug this into my Canon Rebel or would I have to record audio seperate and sync in editing?
I’m still deciding between this Rode and Samson Q2U. From ur perspective is there any sound difference between using XLR over USB?
That’s for the review. Going to get this one!
Would love to know how the Rode NT-USB Mini handles audio in mostly a large, empty room (carpets and tables exempted). I currently have the Elgato Wave 3 but sadly it's not going as well as I would have hoped.
May I ask what mic you are using at the very beginning of the video (just before you switch to the NT-USB)? It sounds very good.
Great video, thanks! How can you let's say, connect three mics on one laptop?
can i connect this to rode wireless go 2 transmitter and use it wirelessly directly to my camera?
Hey! That was a really good review! I need your advice, I am looking for a mic that is good enough to make YT videos and recorded zoom calls for my YT channel. Now, basically it is dad an myself sitting side by side with a table in front of us discussing the game cricket. So I need a good (preferably inexpensive) mic, that can be good enough to capture both our voices to create good quality video content. Ive actually JUST ordered the BOYA BY-PM500 and ive just tested it out today, but I found that it was picking up a lot of sound even though I was in the Cardioid pattern. You definitely know better if I should work around Boya and tweak the settings or set up a bit or to invest in another mic that will suit my requirement. Really appreciate your suggestion, as I will then return the BOYA and get another one :) Thanks!
I would like to see it up against the Audio Techinca usb AT2020+. I just ordered it from Amazon and then you guys come out with this video. 🤦♂️ 😂
It could be fun to see it against the Shure mv7. Where you also can compare it with the software of the two mics Ps. I love when you are making reviews, so i know i what should buy. And btw. I have a shure Mv7 with the shure sm7b popfilter.
what mic would you reccomend for a table top mic for podcasting, video content, and even live shows?
Nice audio bro
Me just bought a new microphone at the local music shop... Watch KZread and this video shows up (definitely perfect timing)
It would be good to see a comparison video of this mic with the ATR2100x as they both seem to fill the “my first mic” space.
Sounds awesome. Especially for the price. Not sure why people spend so much on Shure mics for streaming or YT. They aren't worth the premium when compared to something like this. May upgrade my snowball just for the aesthetics.

I just bought this mic after watching this! 👍🏾
Ok ok sounds pretty good for the price can’t go wrong if you want it as a starter mic 💯👌🏿
Sounds great. Good quality for this price. I have Boya mn-1 and I think about an upgrade and now, I will buy this one, because I want to be like gamer or to stay in my rooom and record.
I like this microphone. Portable too.
Great video, please can you do a comparison of this mic with Shure SM7B there’s none out there
What brand is the T shirt blank you’re wearing? 😁 please answer
Quick question and it may be a dumb question but I’m an aspiring podcaster and I was wondering if this mic would work for a podcast with at least 3-6 ppl sitting around the mic ? Or should I stick with the AKG Lyra?
Thanks ❤️
how about the Yeti mic comparison?
If I wanted to record a podcast with four people, can you buy four of these and connect them directly into the laptop and not go down the XLR route? Video is great as always!
Mic compare - - Elgato Wave 3 (also a condensor mic and also comes with software)
Hi Omar! Can you compare it to the Blue Snowball and the Blue Yeti? Thanks! ~ Pearl

Both of those mics are great! In comparison visually, those 2 mics are huge! Rode brand is known 4 there sound quality and being compact. Think media wouldn't only use Rode brand if it weren't compact, esthetically pleasing and sound great
What mic did you use to start the video? The sound was much better.
For monitoring, what bitrate and hz does the built in 3.5mm output support? Does it support lossless?
compared this one to the samson g track pro??? would be awesome!! thanks
Nice, tahnk you
i think im gonna buy this. i just hope it handles me turning my head around while i speak well.
So I am researching a few different mics and looking for comparisons. First the blue yeti nano, the snowball, and the Audio-Technica AT2020. A few others for around $100
Can i use this to record guitar on my iphone? Garageband, social media, etc? I have a USB-C to lightning cable at home, will that work?
Great Video. Would I be able to connect this to any boom arm or does it specifically have to be a rode arm?
@BrandonHull

Any boom arm works. I use this with a Samson MBA38.
I would like to see a comparison with the Shure MV5 Digital Condenser Microphone with USB and Lightning Cables, please.
I'm trying to get into podcasting for the first time as a beginner and I'm currently stuck between NT-USB Mini and the Samsung Q2U. I'm planning to travel and do interviews, so I'm looking for a rich sound but also a portable mic. Any advice between the two?
I have issues with plosives with this mic when I move it too close to my mouth. Any ideas? And did you do any processing in this video to make it sound that good?
Great video but am having issue with my own rode mini micro. The usb is 🔌 plug in is not the same with canon eos r10 camera plug in how can i find cable that is corresponding to my micro and camera please help me out. Thank you.
Which is better on handling noise a Rode USB mini vs Audio Technica ATR2100x? Pls. Rply. My place noisy near the road
Any particular reason to not use a Deity shotgun mic?
Thank you for sharing .

I'm buying one! No wait... I'm buying two of those!
If you could compare it to the presonus revelator dynamic mic, that would be dope?
I have a hard time choosing a microphone for video podcasting. Rode NT-USB Mini or Samson Q2U. Which should I choose? Please help me 😃
My dream mic 😍 My birthday is coming up... who knows 😁
Please compare against AKG Lyra, both with voice and music (singing and/or acoustic guitar). Thanks.
I recently ordered the NT-USB to do voice overs on videos. But I learned Rode Connect will also work with the Wireless Go II, if you update to the latest firmware on the receiver and mics.
Question - if I enable some effects & settings on windows using the RØDE Connect software. Will it be carried over to other devices, like my PS5 or iPad. Bcz I cannot install any software on those devices to control this mic. Please can you answer??? I am looking forward to this only on my PS5 for streaming, gaming recording. I saw that this has a NOISE GATE built in which is triggered by the software. And software is only on Windows & Mac. So what I'm thinking is, I'll connect this mic to my windows laptop, enable noise filter & then take this to my PS5/ipad. But i need to know if the setting done on windows software will work on ps5/ipad.
AWESOME RODE NT-USB MICROPHONE ❤👍
What kind of boom arm would you recommend for Rode mini please?
what mic arm are you using for the rode usb mic?
I would love to see it compared to the Shure MV51 :)
That's awesome 👍
Curious how this mic would compare to using a Video Mic Go II that could be more versatile?
I would love to see a video on how to sync the audio to your video. It took me way to long to figure it out and it'd be nice for those who are still unsure 🙂

@@JayEMGetsFit I watched a video by TechSmith titled "How to sync audio and video sources" Its short and very informative. He mentions one software but I've heard that audacity is free and can be used to sync audio and video.

@@michellek.i5153 ok I’ll go check out that video. Thanks and I’ll definitely go show some love to your page.
Awesome stuff! The rode NT-USB mini looks real slick! Currently using a Rode VideoMicro to record. It's a start I guess!
Please compare it to the movo VSM-7 I know it's a bit different but I would like to see that.
I personally use the Deity V-Mic D3 Pro (way too big of a name) and I find the quality insanely good for a shotgun mic. But for the price, this NT-USB sounds smooth tho!!
Hi, maybe you can help me. I got the Rode NT-USB Mini, from watching your KZread videos. I’m trying to use to to do video shows/podcast, but I’m very confused on how. I’d appreciate your help! Thank you in advance.
I bought this a week ago and it works great! But I can't seem to use the software when in OBS. Watching YT video it seems to be as simple as opening Rode Connect and setting the system output in Windows before setting it up in OBS. But my laptop doesn't show Rode Connect in my sound output options. I know this laptop has a lot of issues but that's really odd. As you say it's not necessary but it would be easier for instance when streaming a game, to be able to control the game sound easier.
Excellent Video. Need your help and thoughts. I am working in quite noisy environment. I want a mic that can eliminate background noise and want to use it for zoom, teams, and online meetings. Is Rode NT-USB Mini good to go?

i think you should compare the blue yeti to this i think that will be a interesting video
How do I hook the NT USB mini mic to my camera? I have a canon eos m50. Thank you!!
Hi bro, I 'm from India... I used work on Zoom Cloud and for that I required Good Microphone... But I' hv confused between two of Mics... 1. Rode Mini Usb or... 2. Elgato Wave 3...and also I don't have that Boom stick... Just want Place the mic on Desk... So please suggest me the best one.
I use Blue Yeti for more than 10 years and it still work great. Is this one better Blue Yeti original?

My first mic was a Blue Yeti KZread set that was available on Best Buy. I've made a few small upgrades to the mic since then.
Gotta keep the mic close for good sound.

How close ? I'm planning to record a podcast tomorrow and I don't have a mic stand so I'm not really sure how to place it.
How does it compare to the Samson G Track Pro?
Can we use this type of Mic's in mobile? Or best mic for mobile?
Compare it with the Marantz MPM 1000 or Blue Yeti Microphone
