Rode NT-USB Mini Review / Test (Compared to Rode NT-USB, Blue Yeti, and More)
Ғылым және технология
Today I review the Rode NT-USB Mini, a cardioid usb condenser microphone, and I compare it to the Samson Q2u, Blue Yeti Nano, Audio Technica AT2020, Rode Podmic, Blue Yeti, Samson G-Track pro, Rode NT-USB, Rode Video Mic NTG, and the Rode NT1. This mic offers a smooth mid forward sound with a somewhat crisp top end that’s not overbearing.

I think the reason the box was thrown so hard was because we didn't include enough stickers. Don't worry, we'll make up for it next time 😉 But great review! Thanks for checking out the NT-USB Mini!

Exactly. I was suffering sticker withdrawal. I wasn’t in a good mindset. Thank you for sending it out for me to check out. Appreciate y’all.

I've never seen anyone throw a box like that! I'm going to buy a Rode NT Mini from Thomann. I like the quality, the design and the price 😀
Such a detailed review mate. Thanks. I'm gonna grab the NT-USB Mini, I just need it for voiceovers on KZread.

I'm just looking for a microphone for voiceover, do you think it's better than a rode nt usb + (because it's less sensitive) or a senheiser profile ?

Thanks so much Curtis. Can’t wait to hear your review and take on it.
Wow, I've watched a lot reviews and comparsions for microphones on KZread. But this one was one of the most detailed and satisfying ones I've ever seen. Good work and keep it up!
THIS was THE mic review and test i was waiting for. Those tests compared to other models is sooo helpful not just for this but for all others to compare. Thank you man.
Best review ever seen on KZread. So practical and almost scientific. Thanks a lot
The COMPARISON section is FANTASTIC. The VideoMic NTG and G Track Pro were my favourite. Thank you Bandrew for being so awesome, your videos have helped me a lot over the years and I'm glad you finally blew up LOL.
Finally: Someone who compares with abacad way! THANKS!
This helped me A LOT! THANKS man. Loved how you kept jumping back and forth so we didn't have to keep rewinding to compare. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you! El review que buscaba!

Finding the perfect mic is very difficult. What are you currently using? What do you not like about the microphone you’re currently using? What would you like your next microphone to improve upon? What do you want the mic to sound like?

@@Podcastage I'm using a generic mic neewer 800, my room aren't treated, I live in a front of a main Street. My actual mic capt a lot of echo and noise. I just want a mic that can solve that.. I will use the mic around of 10cm of distance. I eventually do colaborations in my channel. . so i need the others functions.. I think the yeti X is good but then I meet the Samson G track pro and I am so confused haaha. thank you four you patience!

@@elkoalah sounds like you would be better off with a dynamic mic than a condensor, unless you are considering getting your room treated, my knowledge isnt anywhere near bandrews but if youre looking for a budget option, the Behringer Ultravoice XM8500 is a great choice. The samson Q2U is even better but more expensive.

@@Twisted_Prince thanks! I will consider that option! My curse is that I live in front of a main avenue. my room vibrate when passed a truck haha
I was just looking for the specified model you have here but you including to all these similar USB/Podcasting type mics and other comparable mics was sooooo helpful. Thank you so much doing this very exhaustive comparison. This is what I really needed. Thanks again!
Sounds to me like a pretty good mic for narration or voice-over. I like the sound and timbre. Thanks for convincing me that this is the one.
The best microphones reviwer on KZread. Ver thorough. Thank you!
OMG this is the most practical test/review of almost all the KZread that I have seen!! (I certainly spent way too much on KZread reviews lol) Love all the practical test, knock the arm, blue switch, etc.. and all the comparisons with different mic. awesome job. subscribed instantly:)
Willie Nelson’s “Back on the Rode Again” .... this has been the best review, by far, that I’ve seen :) thank you for this detail.
This is the most in-depth review I've ever seen. Amazing!
You are doing such comprehensive reviews and comparisons. Never stop!
I wish there would be a guy like you in every tech department to compare stuff in this way . you just tell everything I want to hear.
One of the best reviews I have watched till date. The comparisons are so on point!
My ears thanks the warning to loud volume, you're a really cool guy for that! Very, very good review also.
Just ordered Rode big brother already. Thanks for your many reviews. I watched all week long considering Yeti, G track and Rode.
Dude this is the best review I’ve watched on this mic. You’ve really covered everything I want and need to know. I’m sold on this mic. Thank you for your well thought out video.
Now THIS is what I call a review! I've been recommending NT-USB Mini to people as one of the great starter mics for live streaming and now I have a video to link with my recommendation. Still trying to find a dynamic, perhaps super cardioid, USB mic to recommend for those who have acoustically untreated rooms or Cherry MX Blues.. :)
This has helped me A LOT when deciding what to buy. Thanks for the extensive comparisons!
Love your reviews. They've been helping me in my search for my starter mic for VO work. Thank you!
Really super in depth review... thank you! And I really enjoyed your singing clip too!
This is a great review. I've never seen a review that showed examples from so many different cases, that was really helpful.
Mic comparison was awesome, thanks for doing that! I've been considering Yeti and Video Mic NTG, and the new NT-USB Mini was one unknown in my purchasing decision.
this was a great demonstration. the side-by-side comparisons were super helpful. thank you for this.
whoa this is probably the best tech review I have ever watched. you sold me on this one! Time for another rode in the family!
Finally, a review that gets to the points and covers all bases. All questions answered.
Someone needs to put together a compilation of all your guitar/vocals test sections! Always my favourite part of your videos!! Great vid as always my friend! 👍😁
Hands down the best review presentations on KZread. Bravo & Thanks!
You and Curtis sure did a good job of testing this microphone which I have to admit sold me on buying it for myself and a budding streamer.
Great job! I actually found out about that mic from your Twitter account. You even compared it with AT2020! (unfortunately not the USB version, but apparently they're close enough) Thanks to you I might consider buying this mic

Thanks for the competent review - agree on the nasal tonality emphasis but couldn't quite put it into words until you described it.
Definitely going to be my first mic. Sounds really good for only 100 dollars and I do not want to delve too deep with XLR
All the effort put in for this mini mic review 😭😭😭 A+ for effort!!! 🥰
best review process ever...i admire the dedication, going to buy it next week! thx a lot
This is an awesome review! really appreciate showing the difference of the mics, it was very helpful for like us who are looking for good mics out there to start on podcasting :)

@@Podcastage *RODE NT USB mini vs Razer Siren Mini, which should I pick for youtube singing/music videos.* (I don't have too much base in my voice, but I still want them for sounding melodious, and I have quite good mid-range and some thin high pitch, which many mics don't handle well and sound harsh don't want to sound nasaly either. So what would be your suggestion for a budget good quality natural sounding USB mic ?) Please can you reply, I rely on you. And this's gonna be my first microphone. 😊😇
You put in so much work into this and it's SUPER SUPER helpful: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
You are one of the most skilled reviewers out there brother! Love the scientific method :)
not just for mics, best review of a product in any category... Thank you
awesome content
Great review! Thx. Answered all my questions and more. Rode NT-USB and Blue Yeti here I come! Also get an NT-USB eventually.
I watched the whole video just so that the channel can get full watch time otherwise 3 minutes within the review I was already sold. Already ordered mine for my first podcast.👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks a lot for your reviews. As to your question, I currently use Samson Q2U as my mics for podcasting and it just fits everything I need for recording and producing heavy conversations in ordinary space.
Omg. You are my new favorite reviewer on youtube. Throwing the box like that literally made me laugh out loud 😂
I think this video should be longer. We need a cinematic variant! RODE NT-USB MIC REVIEW -- END GAME!! GREAT WORK, super comprehensive and all the little segments are so cool! KILLER JOB!
You made an undesirable microphone research project not only entertaining, but laugh-out-loud funny. Thanks! Also nice voice man, you can really sing.

So true!
The Samson G-Track pro was a different sound , it caught my attention. The Audio Technica At2020 is real nice. i been useing for 5 years now and still making the extra cash with it. Great vlog.
Never watched any of your videos before and just happened to check this out. I think I got to around 14 minutes before I checked to see how long I had been watching, meaning, I was entertained for 75%+. Well done and thanks for the comparison of the 50 mics, haha.
This is an excessively useful video. Thank you SO much for every example (close/far, keyboards, mount options, yada yada) ... Thorough and appreciated job.
I watched this video maybe more than 20 times. And went to some other guys reviewing the same product and went back here. I bought ATR 2100x from your review and now still considering buying this Rode or maybe its mother the bigger one. Greetings from Indonesia. Your performance is awesome.
This video is *amazing* Really comprehensive review and all the comparisons and observations were spot on. Just subscribed!
Thank you for making such a thorough review. Very helpful!
Incroyable ce test ! C'est pile ce qu'il me fallait :) MEEEEEEERCI
I just love when you throw the boxes on every microphone review, but this box throw was the best in my opinion, so aggressive and hilarious, *those damn boxes*
Thx for the review!!!
If only more reviews of all tech products were this thorough with heir approach for designing review content for us viewers. He even told us about the gain button which acts as a button as well. no other reviewer covered. just saying he is awesome :)

You did a great job with this video. Content could be irrelevant when you put so much time into something. Def earned an unexpected sub
I bought this last year! Amazing review 👏🏼👏🏼🤟🏼🔥🔥
Really nice review of the microphone! 😉 Good job, Bandrew! 😀
Your reviews are so thorough. Thank YOU!
Very interesting video, very informative but also fun! I like the NT1 most with the yeti coming second and the nt-usb third. Personally I found it to sound muffled when recording the electric guitar, for the acoustic it was ok and it performs the best on the human voice range I think. Cheers and may you always be successful 🙂
I appreciate your hard work. ♥️🙌
I've watched a ton of USB mic videos and I have quite a few myself...that Samson G Track pro consistently sounds so good.
What a fantastic review.. the only one I have EVER seen with real life interaction
Wow that was really informative. I think the NT-USB Mini is great. Haven't bought it yet as just browsing through reviews, which your review is best by far. Thank you :-)

Thanks for sharing our thoughts on the mic, I really appreciate it.
Came across your video when I was looking for reviews of the road USB mini. Very good review, very professional. I'll subscribe to your channel, keep up the good work! As far as microphones go, the only two other mics I would consider are the big Rode NT and the AudioTechnica 2020. I'm European and I like a mid-centered sound, and anyway, I mostly do spoken word so the Rode mini is really on my shortlist now. Thanks again, bye!
perfect test! Don’t know how you could do it any better Thanks!
Fantastic review, and you are hilarious! I am in the $100 range, buying my first microphone ever for amatuer videos recroded from my computer and podcast interviews recorded via Skype or Zoom. I watched this to compare the RODE NT-Mini to the Blue Yeti. Thanks for doing the back and forth comparisons - hugely helpful. Now I just need to see if you have done a review of the Blue Yeti to compare it's standalone features placed on the desk and turned around. Thank you!
This is the best mic review I have ever seen, and I’ve watched way too many of them.
Wow dude your reviews are just amazing! Keep it up brother!
Hey. As a non-professional, I really enjoyed your review. Halfway I was thinking now all I need is you to sing and play into the mic and you covered it all..Then you did!! Yay! The only mic that sounded better to my untrained ear was the very last comparison which was also a Rode mic. Thanks for a few smiles :)
This is how to compare stuff :) Good review!
barely send any reviews on videos whatsoever. But your approach is awesome. Thanks for the content :) Format helps to understand the implications on the product and compare it to other offers.
Great reviews and information in your Mic videos, thank you!
Thank you for the very detailed review. Great job. I smashed the like button many times. I decided to buy this microphone. Very helpful.
