NEW Best DECK in Format? | MH3 | Modern
Hello everyone! Today I am playing my MARDU ENERGY build! This deck is and will be post NADU BAN one of the best decks in the format for sure in my opinion. This is a fun midrange deck. Spent 3 days tweeking the list and this is the best I came up with. Played good chunk of games and had 80% winrate. Lost 4 trophy games in a row tho. Guide of Souls and Gonti's Machinations are both 1 cost energy enablers that will get you bunch of energy through the game. You will pretty much never run out of energy or miss an energy. 26 creatures in this build makes Guide of Souls amazing. If left uncontested it can run away with the game. Ragavan is also in the build and its fenomenal. This build is more aggresive then other MARDU builds you will see out there. This deck has potential to win the game on turn 4 and that is very often. Also running burn like Gonti's Machinations, Bolts etc... This deck is really good againts meta decks like NADU and its super good againts MONO BLACK NECRO. Running Bowmasters and Phlage, Titan of Fire's Fury means we have ways of killing other creatures. See for yourself how insane this deck is by looking at the gameplay. Big fan of the replays with your commentating. Unfortunate we didnt see too much of Sorin, but Bowmasters alone seems to push this over the edge to be better than Boros.

The Cthonian Nightmare-Ajani loop is super funny (sac Cat token to flip Ajani into PW form and bring back another creature Ajani). You can burn people out of nowhere with it. The Cat Oven version also looks very fun.

nice brew! thinking maybe seasoned pyromancer has a place here instead the fables? makes the chtonian better and the bodies are relevant with guide of souls, anyways great content!

It also makes two red permanence for a Johnny which means it's harder to remove both for the flip purposes

Since Phlage isnt great in multiples and fable is really good at enabling it I would cut one Phlage for a fable

Phlage is superimportant for deck and i want to max my chances of getting 1 each game. One of the strongest cards in modern rn.

Phlage is basically the best card in the deck and wins games on its own. A 4 off is in auto include for every deck with boros colors.
If you are in on 4 sorins, are you sure you dont want ocelots?

i think bolt is not necessary,probably better play 2 citonian,1 dischsrge and something else

I played 2 nightmare didnt like it as much here as in my similar build where i play 3, but is significantly slower. 1x nightmare was great. Bolt was very relevant and often stooe games, due to lot of burn power in deck.
Wasn’t really impressed with Sorin in this one - I’ve been messing with a lot of mardu and imo Sorin is not really worth playing unless you’re using soul spike. Meanwhile nightmare is unbelievably strong, and twice in this video solos the game for either you or your opponent

Gonthi is basically much better soul spike in this deck, as soul spike is unplayable card oitside of haevy black deck. Sorin also stole lot of games tho, but it is not key part of build.

@@dack_fayden0789 yeah I’m not suggesting to play soul spike, just that Sorin/Gonti isn’t worth in the deck

@@IcyWithItBTD Sorin was def underwhelming in some matchups, and i boarded it out in mirrors, but Gonthi was extreamly good always, great card for archetype, and it enables Sorin nicely and only reason why i included Sorin was cause great interaction with Gonthi, but i can see myself going +1 Gonthi -1 Sorin soon.

@@dack_fayden0789 Ocelot can provide also some good sac outlets for nightmare and the interaction with guide of souls is just really strong. You produce so much energy and life gain, plus you get a lot of permanents on the board which increases the damage done by ajani
