I tried these on today. Very comfortable. They are a little wide in the ankle and toe area so I was able to go a size down. The store didn't have the color I wanted in my size. The white on white is CLEAN.

Agree! It's so good to see OG shoe brands making a comeback. I love it when old brands retro old shoes. These are so clean n sleek bred. They're fantastic. I'm yet to see a bad new balance retro. Everyone I've seen has been top drawer. The next high top they release I'm gonna be all over it. Great pickup bred.👍

Man you’ve got good taste. 😂. Seriously this is a crazy nice pair of shoes and the ortholite insole feels great underfoot. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. i bought a pair of these 2 days ago...and I can definitely say, they some fire sneakers, very comfortable and seem to go well with just about any outfit, I wouldn't mind wearing them the whole day.

i’ve been wearing clean white af1 only since end of 2018 (almost 6 pairs lmao) and the 480 was the first shoe to spike my interest in new sneaker. cant wait for my burgund red / white 480. great review!

Happy new year my guy have you had a chance to wear them yet I’m stuck between them and getting a pair of Jordan ones definitely a better price on the new balance. What are your thoughts?

fire pickup super clean colorway. i want a pair when i first saw them last year i thought dunks. i can see new balance dropping fire collaboration with these they did one already but the retail was high and i was like do i really want this colorway black and white for that money so i passed also remember thinking about Kawhi Leonard jolly ranchers pair . actually like these more than the t500 new balance that they haven't brought back yet. they look very similar ✊🙏

Looks way better than AF1’s, and probably better quality and worth the money. Also to say that Nike didn’t invent everything, but took from a lot of other brands in the beginning, like ahem Adidas etc.

These are clean. I’m looking at a pair on the NB website now. I’m trying to decide if I should go a half size down. My true size is always a bit roomy, due to my right foot being shorter than my left foot. I went a half size down in my shifted sport 550s. Decisions, decisions lol. Dope review. Later man.

I’d say they fit close to those 550s. I’m gonna try to put a video of the 57/40s together today. We all got covid so I’ve been on the sidelines for a minute. But the 480s are a crazy good value, and I might like the 57/40s even more. They are so comfortable. Anyhow, hope life is being good to you bro. Appreciate the continued support! 🙏

I’d go with Sz 9. They’ve got a comparable fit to a club c or a powerphase. No need to size up.

I just checked on GOAT. I don’t see anyone paying that much for them. They are really nice for the price but I wouldn’t pay over 100 for them. People have them listed for over 700 😂

I’ve always played in high tops… and unfortunately, I haven’t played ball since the pandemic started. I think these would perform much like an AF1. But I haven’t played in them to speak from experience.

I probably wouldn’t skate these. It’d chew them up real quick. I’d stick with the NB Numeric collection for skating.
