I LOVE how they look with jeans and tight bottom sweatpants. Idk what it is but I think showing a little bit of sock with the shoe and being able to actually see the top makes it look so much better

I saw a tiktok of the green ALD 550s and I HAD TO cop immediately. Had to pay resale unfortunately and it was WAY more than retail. I picked my size of 11.5 and at first there was some heel slippage but then after a couple of wears there’s no more slippage and they fit perfectly! Once they restocked once more (after the initial October 2020 release) I copped the grey ALD 550s :)

Love the 550, such a great silhouette, but hate that they don't make my size (UK12/US12.5.) TTS at US13 has too much heel slip, and full size down at US12 is too tight. Wish New Balance didn't hate us big footers so much.

@@falveys2164 Depends on the width of your foot. Im also a true 13.5. I got a 13, and mann my toes were crushed length wise and the toe box was tooo tight.

This gonna be my summer shoe pick up, gon be fire with crew socks and above the knee gym/sweat shorts and boxy shirts

I play baseball and I have a pair of New Balance cleats, and they are very comfortable and breathable. I will be getting a pair of these in a few weeks, I can imagine they feel the same as my cleats

just got a green white pair off goat… they’re so fire

I cop the green ALD pair and i go true to size, and yes the sizing is a bit weird. Feel a bit of heel slippage too but feel much better when i tie the shoe to the last eyelet

Where did you get the green ALD's from??

I hate the sizing on these. Usually I am the same size in most NB shoes, and I go half a size up from my regular size (EU 42/US 9/ UK 8), to 42.5/US 9.5, but due to the retro style, and shape/fit of the shoe, which is quite narrow, tight, and short, even going EU 9.5 in these, still a bit uncomfortable and especially at the heel where I couldn’t even get a finger in. I tried a full size EU43/US 10, and even though more comfortable too much heel slippage even if laced up tight, and unfortunately my 2nd pair was either fake or very faulty due to so much defects on the shoe compared to the 1st pair. Ironically the 1st pair which had no defects except a supposed burn mark in the side mesh panel, or some spot that doesn’t go away even using a makeup wipe, so kept those… I’d get that in a 43, but sold out across the board.

I had to go half size up because my tall ass foot and the toe box tightness were not getting along, I havent experimented too much, but there was some heel slippage almost every step in the half size up, I will try tightening down the laces and see if it helps. Sucks TTS didnt work for me, I had already bought my tts in the UNC colorway then realized they werent gonna work, luckily I was able to size swap after trying on half size up!

I Got a 550 aime Leon white/grey and I copped true to size but it’s a little uncomfortable. Feel like it’s too small. I can fit in a 8,5 on all my other sneaks but these feels too snug even at size 9 us size.

if you are going by US sizing, go 1/2 down from TTS but if you are going by UK sizing then go 1/2 up from TTS.

i wear 9.5usa on the 2002r and a pair of jound 992s. i’d say they fit true to size.

For UK guys go by US or EU sizing only. Don’t know why NB do the UK size 0.5 out from the US sizing. Nike and most others brands are 1 size difference from US sizing. I just have to tell myself each time for Nike I’m UK9.5 and NB I’m UK10.

I agree it was snug but after 2-3 wears & shoe trees it fits nice, I’m a 8.5-9 got a 8.5 and they fit snug at first but now fit good

I've had my 550's for just a couple of weeks and already the white PU starts cracking around where the creases are. If there anyway to prevent that? Since the top layer on the leather is PU I cant imagine any shoe care product actually does anything regarding softening/conditioning
