Well done for being the first to fit sound Richard, I think everyone was wondering if there was a sound chip that also worked the pantograph and trust legomanbiffo to have it. No room on my layout for it as a pet hate of mine are locos that should have overhead wires running without them

I think the sounds should be played through speakers around the layout, rather from the loco. This would surely result in higher quality and a more realistic sound

personally I think thats a massive step backwards when the technology is already there to get the sound into the models. You would lose any sense that the sound is actually coming from the model and the sound would be totally out of scale for the model.
