Vote for Macan electric as next car!

Really excited by this car. I've had the Q8 50 and then a Q8 55 Sportsback and next year will be looking at replacing the Sportsback.. The Q6 looks so much better than the Q4, and seems to tick all the boxes... So glad that you've done this review.

Very informative and professional review! 😊 Does the frunk still only open when you bend down inside on the driver‘s door opening? That would be a pity. Or is there button action from key or phone?

Hmm it looks a bit bland to me on the outside but that’s just my opinion.

Completely agree, I was excited when the videos started landing and then immediately felt disappointed

I understand why they said from Audi to keep the safety systems on with you 😂 Nice video and ride!

This car should bring the Q4 price down to make it competitive.

It will be very important for Audi to place this well in the market from pricing point of view.

One can notice some platform related consequences specifically in the back row. My Q4 (MEB) has better space there I guess. But the PPE being a premium class platform needs a more respectable longer bonnet, which is taking its toll in the cabin. Very interesting these trade offs

The PPE seems to have more room for the mechanical built in - a longer front end for the frunk, air suspensions, far larger battery pack & 800V architecture etc. In contrast, the MEB was designed around getting the most bang for your buck, and use of space was a big selling point. The Q4 is ingeniously packaged, even if the Audi styling meant it was smaller than the VW ID.4 and Skoda Enyaq. The Q6 definitely gives up some interior practicality for more style & performance.

with all due respect, 75k for this car is plain ridiculous.

@@N1ckZ yes, a luxury car with 5.9 secs in 0-100, 210km/h top speed, and 19kwh/100km for 75k is absolutely ridiculous.

Looks almost identical to the Q-4 E-tron just a little bigger.I wish they made something more like a SUV because now the have 3 cross over wagon Ev's that all blend together.

Nice video and the car seems well-made. Just wondering why another Audi electric SUV. With Q4 and Q8 they already have two offerings in the segment. Why not do the A4 e-tron first? Stacked against the Model 3 and the i4. Or an A6 competing with the i5 and Nio ET7? And by the way: this is Audi‘s 4th electric platform. Q8 e-tron, e-tron GT and Q4 e-tron all sit on different platforms. PPE is now the 4th. Wishing them success! 🎉

Looks promising for the A6 Etron advant when it final arrives, much more interested in that car than another SUV

Polestar is a brokie car it is not a competitor to a high end Audi. No volvo compares with Audi. Volvo is a Kia competitor. The Mercedes eqe and Porsche macan e is the competitor to q6

@@sugarhog1938Ohh no… Polestar 4 will be much better than this outdated ev from Audi. The main and the best feature of Polestar is Android Automotive with Google services. Also, UI is minimalistic compared to the ugly one in Audi. Audi is definitely outdated car.

Seems and looks like an Audi!😉👍🏻 But I still mean it looks too much Q4 like. The interior still has too much cheap plastik in the lower parts, and the pianolack in the middle console is really ugly and unpractical. If this car get a price from about 74000€ before you adding the stuff you need, I probobly keep my E-tron 55 a bit further and go for another brand nextime!?😳😉

Nice but if this will be anything like the new A3 which is amess with subscription features, I will never buy it on principle. Will wait and see what ridiculous subscriptions they require once it's available

I'd say it's up there with the newer designs, wouldn't say it eclipses them. Really want to see the sportback version!

Haven’t cancelled it yet… but that car is like at least a year away 😅😬

My only issue is with the rear three quarter window design. It’s too big, a slimmer window would look better

I have an Audi A4 Avant diesel. Buying this car would triple my running costs - there is no way I am buying this car.

Exterior design far nicer than Macan IMHO. It's funny that the difference between performance of Q6 and SQ6 is basically software.

According to others it does use the android automotive system in the background, like the Macan.

Well according to the actual software engineers who made the car it runs Android Automotive OS, but not Android automotive UX. It runs Audis own Touch MMi UX and not Android Automotive UX.

@@christianborck yes exactly! So unlike Polestar which for example uses Google Maps for navigation this does not. That is just one example how they differ.

It's a a huge step forward for Audi - finally "Vorsprung durch Technik" . I feel more excited by the Macan Version though. But price is always an issue.

To bad about the small trunk, I think it will be to small for our family of four with a large dog.

Errr … is this a new design ?

i feel the interior materials seem a bit cheap. In my i4 and the iX... and even xpeng G9 or model 3 you get soft nicer materials down low - around glove box and door bins. Specs wise and design wise it is excellent however.

You can’t compare the IX to this Q6 Etron. Probably better to compare it to the Q8 Etron.

@@ONI1013.The Q6 (in Sweden) will cost roughly the same as the IX (if not more). Would have an IX over this any day of the week thanks to the BMW having a way more posh interior

@@hugos2475 that’s nuts. The IX is about $95k for mid level and $115k for fully loaded in US. Compared to the Q8 Etron mid level is $77k and fully loaded about $90k. So the Q6 Etron would be even MUCH less than the IX by about $30k less (guess is from $66k - $81k). Not even close comparison price-wise.

@@hugos2475 I have the last original Etron 2022, and besides the range, I think the interior is not bad at all. I test drove a 2024 IX and I5, but think the quality is about same. BUT I will say the technology amenities is better on the new BMW- the 3D Camera, Adaptive Cruise, the parking sensors and assist is better on the BMW for sure. I do like the massaging seats better on the Audi though.

I think that Audi is a little bit late to the party with a dedicated ev platform! But better late than never! Still think do that the vw group takes shortcuts with risk in design and materials like cheap plastics.

The E-tron GT and Q4 E-tron are built on dedicated EV platforms.

Opening frunk situation must be discussed internally at Audi HQ.

The touch panels on the steering wheel and on the drivers door is something that belongs to a 25k€ car, yuck! Audi interiors was the best a few years back but they have really gone downhill.

Its styling is already dated, the interior is a mess, it’s not up to Audis usual standard. I’m disappointed. Come on Audi you can do better.

I had four Audi’s and I’ve had it. Never again. Too expensive maintenance and not reliable at all. My old ones were good but the new ones terrible.

The fat etron looks nicer. The new Audi front end design language is starting to resemble fugly BMW slit light huge grille designs which look hideous. Side profile looks like Volvo XC60. Nothing new here.

This car is boring. The Interior looks cheap. Even the Skoda Enjaq looks better
