I'm a huge lover of audis. This vehicle looks stellar, and I wasn't a huge fan of the standard audi steering wheel design, in this one it's top tier. It looks insanely cool

Lovely car, a little disappointing that there are touch sensitive controls on the steering wheel, it's a minor gripe.

It's very nice and the steering wheel controls are not as bad as some others

I like Audi’s take on the haptic button placement. If you’re eliminating buttons and switches on the dash, put it on the wheel and make the touch points on the screen obvious.

Audi Germany are showing a lot more information on this than the UK website. For instance it shows colour and wheel options but unfortunately I would like to know roughly what the Edition 1 spec costs above the base model price. The Edition 1 model includes 21" alloys with red break calipers, passenger screen, matrix signature lights and a proactive passenger protection system to the front, side and rear of the car, and a painted front grill. It also shows the Edition 1 model is available in two colour choices, magnet grey and ascari blue. On the base model it appears you get leather heated seats to the front and rear as standard, a heated steering wheel, B&O 3D sound system (with speakers in all headrests) plus the augmented head up display. It also seems there is an S Line trim option between the base and Edition 1 versions. I've also read that sales will begin in the UK from April 30th and I'd expect deliveries in the autumn.

Brilliant review Derek. Just shows the future is electric. The range is better and if Audi are putting so much into electric vehicle’s the only way is up.

Nice review Derek!! . I pre-order a BMW IX2 which is supposed to arrived in May-June but considering the price of Msport model vs estimated price for Q6 etron I am starting to reconsider my decision. I prefer sportback styling in IX2 which why I might have to wait for the sportback version of the Q6 Etron. Any advice of considering this car vs IX2 based on price difference since I noticed that you recently tested both? Driving experience, comfort, overall quality?

RWD would probably use the same unit as the 286HP versions of Q4, ID4 etc. Maybe in a slightly beefed up version like the BORN VZ with around 320hp.

@@NevoEVReviewIreland Possibly. Even here in Australia where Porsche is always much more expensive than Audi. As a VERY long time Audi driver, if I were to spend AU$200k on an EV I’d buy the Taycan over the RS. I haven’t seen the Macan EV yet but if the tech is similar and the price is similar I’d def consider the Macan.

My assumption is...they had major issue to stabilize the new Software, which delayed the Macan and Q6 for two years..this costs billions of income already...those grid functions were fore sure the last Feature they would think about to implement and...any of those are still not allowed at least in Germany.

How is the comfort driving this VS Q8? Do you get the same “luxury” feeling on the road?

Cheers Derek. Does it have a decent ACC with lane following on motorway, and city start/stop auto pilot driver aid system? IMHO Piano black should be abolished for cars. Would be interested to see the RHD version being driven on Irish roads and especially the ride comfort on R and N roads

Looks amazing, but needs to be a bit cheaper. The Q6 Ultra is TWICE the price of a Tesla Y Performance.. A better car for sure, but twice the price…?

exterior is almost perfect. but interior, i didn't like left and right end lines of huge screen. would rather rectangular shape. maybe they referred to the typical audi grill shape or what?

Once again thank you for some details I did not get elsewhere. That is valuable. I have had Audis for nearly fifteen years up until 2022, so I am well disposed towards them. However I can not live with the current generation of UI/UX, especially at the price. The software appears much improved, the engineering is superb, the build is wonderful, so so much is right. I just would not buy one.

b&o is the budget brand of Bang & Olufsen. You get it on Ford Mustang Mach-e. Audi gets the big daddy

Interesting...I think exactly the opposite. The Audi Design ages very well...a 20 Year old A4 still does not look antique compared to other Brands.

Both the Q4 and Q6 look bloated, the front looks off. The Q8 etron is the only one that looks normal

Great video, love the car but those steering wheel buttons are awful. Look cheap and nasty.

Is it just me that really doesn't like all of these screens? I'm finding myself in front of screens more and more and the one place I don't want to be distracted by one is when I'm driving.

25 kWh to 35kwh compared to 20 to 22kwh/100km...tested with the Macan already...the Q8 is simply dead and old technology...no 800v. This will only sell with 50% Discount and more now. By the way...the Q6 has more trunk space

Legacy automakers will never understand what is the new perceived value of a car. Chinese got it. Sad to see Germany auto industry losing market share in China, Europe and else where. But that is the law of evolution and no one can scape.

4 people inside, cargo... 200km range at a maximum speed of 110 kilometers per hour LOL. Mega LOL.

@@NevoEVReviewIreland I drive an Audi S6 C7. I have bad experiences when it comes to electric cars. Kilometers traveled. Range too small. Very small. A car that makes no sense.

Front grille looks awful, really nice otherwise. Not sure it’ll be a volume seller. Audi really struggling to shift EV’s.

Their EV market share is growing I thought year in year. This will only help and I didn't mind the grilled at all but beauty in the eye of the beholder

Interior still cluttered with knobs and switches, def. to much. I mean look at the steering wheel. 5 levers and switches + buttons on the wheel itself. Why? Exterior a bit better but still to bulky. I hope for a elegant sleek sedan or station wagon from Audi, no SUV. Or a A2Etron ...😁

Same old same old. BYD seal U is a much better car with one third of the price. German car manufacturing in real trouble. They all eventually will have either to close the shop or merge with Chinese car makers..
