This is a great idea to make Motion Mondays a video series. I've been subscribed since probably 2011 if it was even out then. But It's been a while.

Ok but let’s be honnest, all the After Effects updates ARE LITERALLY WAY OVER DUE. Adobe doesn’t listen to users, they just simply didn’t have anything else to show for Q2 2024

Yes, Adobe anger me. I pay a monthly subscription to a multi billion dollar company with an extremely outdated system and I use Unreal Engine for free and it's vastly superior.

Don’t worry, adobe’s plan to phase its users out is almost complete. Why make a tool for visual creatives when you can appeal to no-talent gen-z tiktokers who want click-button ai ‘content.’ The days of the visual creative are coming to an end faster than any of us realized. Soon, everything will look the same and ai will tell us what is “cool.”

I hope this series will continue. Thank you for the work!

Yay. We get features we should have had for ten years. I've been using a 3rd party plugin for at least a decade to cut and paste multiple frames. Amazing how quickly the Adobe devs got on to this one. /s

Adobe and "listening" in one sentence? It`s rather like they`ve assembled a list of essentials we ask for for literally a decade and more and sell them as "features". I mean: Copy/paste of keyframes? Paste inverted? Ridiculous! And speeding up Roto Brush freezing - I actually was so fed up with that insanely slow process I instead always immediately render out a Prores 4444 with alpha to use that as an alpha matte.

Nope. Cavalry is a 2D animation app, and Unreal is a 3D app that is waaaaaaaaay more complex but that now has some tools in it to make motion graphic stuff much easier to do in real-time. It's a wild time to be in this field! Then there's Rive and don't even get me started on Rive....

Hard agree with @Nicogs Adobe's latest "features" have either already existed as 3D party plugins/extensions or have languished for years in the complaint section of Adobe forums. IMHO the whole program should probably be re written from the ground up especially in regards to performance.

Wow, whole 3 quality of life improvements, good job adobe... Blender is doing like 15 improvements like this every update. It's 2024 and AE is still slow and unstable as fuck tho, maybe fix that instead of how the keyframe shortcuts work, would be waaaaay better. "Adobe listening to it's users" get out of here, adobe is barely doing shit.
