Not a big fan of the new headlight designs that the Japanese are coming up with but If I had to choose between the Honda Hornet and the GSX-8S, I would definitely go with Suzuki. I love the look of the frame more of the Suzuki and the blue one looks really nice. The built quality of the engine and chassis looks a bit better than Honda's as well, But I have to look closer and in the flesh to be able to get a full verdict in that regard.

The honda hornet 750 looks like a 'upsized' 250-300 cc bike. While the Suzuki is a slightly downsized 1000cc bike. Hornet is bland and looks cheap.

Nice looking bike, and I am pleased to see some positive Suzuki news these days, given the prophecies of doom abounding after their withdrawal from racing, and people extrapolating that in to them stopping motorcycles altogether. I get you like the notion of bluetooth connectivity but personally it is the one thing I think every bike should be without. People can't concentrate on walking while they are speaking on their phones, let alone riding a bike. I think it is a horrible idea to have the facility and in part defeats one of the very fundamental pleasures of riding a motorcycle in the first place. It frightens me that folks are being distracted by alerts buzzing in their ears for social media posts, or getting into a heated discussion with the boss on the phone. As for navigation well there are plenty of options and if you want the turn by turn then use the Beeline, which I bought, one for me and one for my boy, based on your review and plugs.

Nice vid. Looks good & like it's going to be good fun. As It stands, having not ridden either of them obviously, I'd go for the Suzuki as it looks much better, (thanks to KTM lol) & also has more torque & QS as standard over the Hornet I think. However the Hornet seems to be more bang for your buck but I guess it's not all about the specs & it looks typical Honda & a bit dull imo.

As an ex GSXS-1000S owner (now riding a Z900rs, long story) I think this bike is right on the mark for this size of bike. Looks are better than the Honda and the Yamaha, Kawasaki's Z650 which my wife has will certainly lose sales here so I think Kawasaki will have to improve that model in the future if they want to retain a good chunk of the market which I am sure they will.

I wouldn't like to pick one or the other without riding. I'm an engine man, I don't give a toss about smartphone connectivity etc. Imo this will feel very different to the Hornet due to the engine architecture. It's nowhere near as oversquare as the Hornet, the bore/stroke ratio is similar to the MT-07 so will probably have the same dirty grunt as the MT-07 down low. The Hornet will probably have a nicer top end but lack at the bottom. Horses for courses. I think I need both🤣 Is that a genuine Suzuki accessory at 4.15?
