New 2023 Isuzu D-Max | OFFROAD test drive

These are the offroad capabilities of the all new Isuzu D-Max 2023.
The 2023 D-Max will continue to run its venerable 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine (4JJ1), but it will get a bump in power and torque (from 130kW/430Nm to 140kW/450Nm) due in part to high-injection pressure and an electronically controlled VGS turbocharger. The updated engine is codenamed 4JJ3.
Compared to the predecessor model, the all-new D-Max 2023 definitely raises the bar when it comes to safety, as it offers ultra-high tensile steel construction for better rigidity, an improvement over the older model’s high tensile steel construction.
The availability of Apple CarPlay on selected variants of the DMax 2023 also indicates that Isuzu is positioning the new pickup as a more lifestyle truck. In fact, the all-new Isuzu D'Max 2023 offers more equipment than some similarly priced sedans.

Helman... I was thinking about the same thing. LOL. For the real test drive. I am actually looking to buy the MUX SLT at the dealer. Probably wait for the 2021 to come out. The Ads looks pretty good.
Massive interior and exterior upgrade ...definitely it will replace hilux ..more space n luxury interior outfit ..
Does a 2021 dmax at variant in the phil, have a diff lock?
Finally a descent replacement for the hilux. Good price and plenty of get up and go. I think this will beat Toyoya hilux on all round value

The 4x4 on a dmax is second to none . I drive one and it really is value for money. No Toyota bakkie comes close, only a landcruiser

@@leonkabajani9216 that's not true. DMax has poor TCS (not able to shift power between left/right wheels without a diff lock). Hilux/Ranger can go without rear diff lock where DMax needs a rear diff lock, all due to smart TCS. DMax is still my favorite though for overall value

When is it available in South Africa?
That truck is very beautiful and is very well equipped, I think it is one of the best of that type, with a Dissel engine, technology in everything, in Colombia the bad thing is that many times it is poorly managed and the original is delivered very boneless and Their original responses will be sold very expensively, I wish the Isuzu company would realize that detail here in Colombia.

The quintessential Isuzu.It's only because they sell exclusively overseas that they are able to make such a great car. There are some Japanese people who say they want this, but only those who say so will never buy it. I don't sell them in Japan anymore because the Japanese people don't buy them anymore. That's why I don't want the Japanese to buy it.

Most if these vids are cgi and not real. No manufacturer would cover vehicles damaged from being jumped. Ya gotta be an idiot to do that anyway

No argue If was going to buy a Truck someday it is going to be D'max , it is the king of road / off-road in my country , no other truck is used for smuggling good from borders, this beast carry tons of goods and escape from cops in bad roads carrying it 😂
very difficult to sell in Turkey with this engine option. it's sad not to have this car

I'm wondering how does the 1.9 compare to 3.0. Only former is available in EU and I'm a bit worried it may have a hard time when towing and carrying some cargo in the terrain.

Same here. Initially I was looking at a Toyota Hilux, but the waiting list for one is 12-18 months. D-Max are ready to pick up at the dealership in 2 weeks! Also, at 44k € they are 10k cheaper than the highest-spec Hilux, while also having more legroom in the back. I will only buy Japanese, Ford Ranger is out of the question.

Darren, the Colorado has always been a copy of the Isuzu. Not the other way. For a long time the Colorado was a rebadged Isuzu, until they slowly started to separate the two. Now they have gone there seperate ways and the new Mazda BT50 will be based on the Isuzu.
