I consider myself "seasoned", not old, at 52. I bought the 2022 SP model in January and have only 90 miles on it, northeast winters are a bit chilly for riding. I used to ride cruisers but the seating position doesn't work for me anymore since I had hernia surgery. This bike is everything they say and more! There is no such thing as traffic with this thing and she handles like nobody's business.

I am 58 and love my MT 09 it’s a civilized monster

For me it was between the mt09 and the street triple rs, needless to say I picked ip my brand new mt09 on Friday. I’m so happy with it! After test riding both I just had to get the mt!

@@jerseybagger9336 Based on my research a triple in general will have more torque but an inline 4 will have a more HP and Higher Rev limit assuming the motors are about the same displacement. The sound is different as well. I would say ride both and see which you like the best.

Harley needs to scrap the 975 Bronx and make it a 1250 cuz No one is going to pay 15k plus for it.the thing with this bike is if you can find one my local dealer got zero 21s and yet to get any 22s the mt is the standard for price and performance

It’s funny to me that this is the category the Bronx is supposed to compete in when the new Harley nightster bike costs thousands more than the Yamaha MT 09 or the XSR. What’s the Bronx going to cost, 20k? Better put a 1250 in it.

Yeah that is my concern is cost...

I bought the 2017 version & have had a love/hate relationship with it. I love the motor but under hard acceleration the front end shakes violently like it's going to spit you off at any moment. Even an expensive steering damper tamed it only slightly & nothing else I've tried has helped. I understand Yamaha has addressed this problem with this new model. I've never had a bike that was such a disappointment & I've owned more than a few in over 50 years of riding.

@@NewBikeMikeChannel I don't think it's my particular bike because I've seen plenty of complaints on forums & such where this characteristic is brought up. I recently saw another YT video, i think it was a British online magazine talking about the 2022 version where they mentioned that the latest model has shortened forks but with the same amount of travel as previous bikes in an attempt to get more weight over the front end. I only weigh around 145 lbs. so maybe it's not an issue with heavier riders but I do know I'm not the only one that has had this experience.
