I made my first drumless tracks in 2017 as a way to make practice more fun than just playing along with a metronome. Plus, it was a way to release video content with music that wasn't just drum covers. Soon after I started posting videos of me drumming along to these practice loops, everyone around me asked if they could have them too. So, I published them on bandcamp just after the new year in 2018. Since then, I've released over 900 different songs that drummers can take advantage of!
You can take these drumless tracks, play them through your phone speaker, and play rudiments on your practice pad as your kick back in the evening. Or you can use these as a means to record yourself playing to music so that you can learn how to better mix and process your drum recordings. If you're an educator, you can use these with your younger drum students to ensure they keep engaged with their coursework (because we all know how boring a repetitive click track can get). The uses for these drumless practice tracks are endless.
I'm so thankful that folks have really used these tracks a lot. With over 690,000 streams on Bandcamp, these drumless tracks have become a great too for folks all over the world. And I hope YOU will get some use out of them too. If you post videos using these tracks online, tag me in them or email me links. I'd love to see what you post!

@@timbofromkeno As I'm more interested in being forced to come up with interesting drum parts (read- my timing kinda sucks), that oddball stuff. Probably of limited use to most, but check out James Lo (Live Skull, Chavez). The way he makes the drums an integral part of the song (and perfect timing!) is nothing short of awe inspiring. And as an aside- thank you. The problem with most musical instruction is it sucks the joy out of playing in the name of being "good".
