Ran this trail this past summer. (July 2023) Jeep Gladiator running 37s and a 4 1/2" long travel suspension. It is my overlanding rig with 1/2 rack, roof top tent, and all the other necessities, meaning we are heavy for this type of trail. We made it, but definitely some tight spots. Hamburger hill is no joke. Had to winch up the steepest ledge on Hamburger. Wheel base didn't like it, and I didn't want to break anything trying to bump up it. I commend you for knowing when to turn around. Travel safe!

Fabulous video! You show way more of the actual trail than most people on Kane Creek. We're gearing up for it and I always know your channel will give me some good research!

Oh god. The 35” were hard enough to fit and I’m pretty sure with the weight the Tacoma would roll over and die. Maybe if I put her on a major diet!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Oh damn. Mine went all the way to the metal. I’m gonna fix it myself and probably have to repaint the door. So cool.

Loved it. Did Kane Creek years ago and while a challenge, it looks harder now in spots. I think you guys made the right decision based on your rigs and risk levels.

Yea Kane Creek is no joke at the end. I made it through in my 3rd gen 4Runner on 33" tires but had to take the easier left side on the cliff edge to make it up hamburger hill. There's still a few more obstacles after hamburger hill also.

Nice! I've been waiting for your take on this, I saw Rudy, Hollie, and Paul's videos and recognized you. I think your next step is to leave your Tacoma with Paul for a while for a SAS, he'll have you slaying this trail, lol. I've been following his videos for a few years now, it's amazing how well his Taco works.

I like how your Tacoma is being pushed to its limits! On your front suspension, are your spindles gusseted and/or tie rods sleeved? I want to run 35’s but I’m wondering how mandatory it is to beef up the rest of my suspension first.

All stock outside of the lift. Toyota makes it all pretty strong. That being said I so carry an extra tie rod end, safety third!!!

I haven't run Kane Creek in at least 7-8 years, but damn. The climb out of the canyon looks noticeably more difficult than it used to be.

Damage sucks. Although they never hurt as much as the first time. I just jammed my dual Flowmaster exhaust tips up in to both fenders causing significant body damage on my Pro. Oh well. Every dent represents a good day. Xlnt video by the way.

Totally agree. I’ve been telling my wife I need a crawler, she laughs. It’s not funny!!!😂😂😂😂

  • @at20rule

3 things I see all the time with overlanders that makes it literally impossible to rock crawl effectively and that is they don't listen to spotters, no vehicle prep (hitches still in), and they literally can't drive and are jerky (no throttle control) and/or are always freakin out.
