I’d love it if you could cover what options “Update VCM after TAL execution" and "Update MSM after TAL execution" actually mean - when to enable, when to disable. Every person/guide says then should be disabled but never offer a detailed explanation as to why. Same for gateway vs. direct connection. Would also be good if you could cover programming - I.E updating ECUs via full pszd DB. Thanks!

Насколько надо их обновлять, что там нового добавляется? Я не занимаюсь коммерцией, исключительно для себя и знакомых. 2. Увидел на видео у вас E-Sys вообще версии 22.10 - это что-то новое, другой производитель? 3. Или это все от лукавого и связка E-Sys 3.36.2 + E-SysPlus 4.0.2 с последней Data достаточно для мелких задач (FDL кодирование, обновление ПО) ? 4. Где смотреть что нового в последующих версиях E-Sys? З.Ы. Чтобы обновить E-SysPlus 4.0.2 на E-SysPlus 4.1 надо докупить у производителя код обновления? или просто ввести код на прошлую версию?

Excellent tutorials, thank you very much! I have one question: I would like to flash G80 M3 CS gearbox software to the EGS ECU of a 'non-CS' G80 M3 xDrive. Can I just change the typekey to 61AY (EUR LHD Model, same as the car I want to code), and then click code on the EGS module (after making a back-up like you did)? Or will this not work, as the 'Zeitkriterium' and SA list are still those of a 'non-CS' M3. I hope my question was clear, thank you in advance!

Coding most likely will not give any results. Flahsing is needed. But flashing with wrong calculations mighty brick your EGS. So be careful and flash onky of gearboxes are identical! As shown in my ALPINA video for example 😉

Hi Vladimir, if I have previous coding in exampke BDC ECU , and I planned to retrofit TPMS, the VO coding is 2VB and code the same BDC, understand VO coding will reset the ECU to the factory. The best option for me like below correct me. 1. Backup the coding file of the ECU by read coding data 2. VO Coding 3. Read coding data again (after VO coding) and compare 2 coding data 4. Manual add back previous coding to the ECU

If cluster is verginized then use VPN tunnel to code remotely in the car or install esys with psdzdata lite on other side.

Hi, great video, I really like your content. But I have a problem and I hope you can help me. I have a X3 F25 and have retrofitted the rain sensor and coded it using VO 521. The automatic light works great, but unfortunately I can only turn on the wipers after about 3-5 minutes when the ignition is on. I would like to turn it on immediately. Do I have to recode something or have I made a mistake. Thank you very much keep it 👍

It should be working instantly. Maybe some kind istep or hardware mismatch there. I don’t think any coding will solve that.

can you code the interior ambient lighting to be brighter? My 2018 530e seemed to have brighter ambient lighting than my new 2023 530e. When set to the highest bightness, you can barely see the color during the day. This seemed different in than the older 2018. Maybe there is a way to code the car to make 100% brighter?

Hi, It was a problem on older cars. Haven’t seen that on 2023 jet! In older those LEDs were just physically not bright enough. If you do find any information about your case feel free to share with community. Thank you ))

Codings that you are doing offline in your car will not be shown in the bmw server. There are exceptions with newer BMW with telematics working.

Владимир, добрый день! Начинаю постигать азы кодирования, внимательно пересматриваю все ваши видео. Сегодня решил попробовать закодировать в DKOMBI2 "мелкую цифровую скорость в верхней части спидометра". Все делал по инструкции, но столкнулся с такой проблемой. Не отображается название параметров кодирования, вместо них точки. В чем может быть проблема? Использовал E-Sys 22.06.01, Launcher PRO 5, PSdZData 4.38.11 Lite, при подключении через OBD2 Ethernet к машине (BMW X3 G01) выбирал шасси S15A.

Is it true that for basic coding on an f20 you don’t even need a launcher for esys? E.g coding a replacement instrument cluster?

It is called VO coding and it does not require launcher, that’s true. FDL coding (going inside ecu and changing single parameter) requires launcher

Подскажите пож. К примеру нужно добавить 609. мы в esys в разделе coding, редактируем fa кодируем ГУ опцией 609. Мы закодировали, но комплектация не изменилась. И при считывании fa опции 609 мы не увидим, но ГУ закодировано ей и нормально работает. Чтобы в комплектацию записалось 609, нужно в разделе vcm записать fa в автомобиль. Вопрос: как правильно делать, с изменением fa или без? В чем отличие?

Вы совершенно правильно поняли. Правильно так, как нужно в конкретном случаи. Бывает и так и так. Если авто с завода не может быть с такой опцией то и изменённым ФА сохранять нельзя! Например поставили Еву на авто 2015 года. А Ева пошла только с 2016, ну значит такой ФА в авто нельзя сохранять!

Что-то на англицском зашло не хуже чем на родном, очень познавательно. Применил почерпнутые знания на мото S1000rr 2021, ну очень интересно, правда есть отличия которые пока не воспринял.

Здравствуйте. Ф10, была капиталка двигателя, после чего начало иногда (редко) пинаться. Как вы думаете, совпало с падением уровня масла в акпп или нужно проводить какие либо манипуляции диагностикой, перенастраивать и тд? Заранее спасибо. (140к пробега)

Выровняйте уровень масла в акпп. Обновите ПО Сбросьте адаптации. Если после 500 км ситуация не улучшиться, тогда уже ищите механическую причину.

В фул базах можно выбирать обычно между двумя разными istep. Но они близкие друг к другу.

I retrofitted a new cluster on my F20 from 2013, while cluster is from 2019, but now my LIM button doesn’t work anymore. The new cluster does have the LIM markings on the cluster so I assume it’s not an hardware isssue. Coding wise LIM is enabled. Looking at other forums I can see these should be coded: SLD_FUNKTION : aktiv C_Umschaltung_ACC_DCC : zugelassen SLD_ENABLE : aktiv And they already are like this. Anyone know what I’m missing? Also the steering wheel I have only have the LIM button(no SET or RES or anything else on the left side)

If LIM button do cancel your cruise control then it means it’s working. If it does not display LIM on the dash, it might be die to the istep differences. Just a guess

@@BimDoc My query is motivated because when the brand replaces an ecu, it does so to the version that was in the vehicle and it does not increase as we usually see. I imagine it is to avoid having to update more modules and avoid later problems, especially if the vehicle is of a certain age.

Здравствуйте. Мастер обновил мне доустановленный entrynav2 g30 на стенде и там же его закодировал. После этого на kombi с ГУ не поступает информация о То, список телефонов, станции, треки. Также ГУ не показывает вообще тех. обслуживание и камера заднего вида воспроизводит черный экран. Ошибок в исте кроме активной защиты компонентов нет. Она была и до обновления и все прекрасно работало. Мастер очень слабо пытается помочь, а сегодня перестал отвечать. А я его считал превосходным специалистом. Вопрос: поможет ли мне удаление cafd файла и создание нового? Как правильно это сделать? Заранее спасибо.

Обычно проблемы с ТО тогда когда не дружат ГУ и приборка. И если обновили только ГУ то возможен конфликт istep. Помытому советуется если обновлять то авто целиком. Чисто как версия.

Владимир, здравствуйте! Очень сильно нужна ваша помощь! Имеем f10 дорест со штатной вебастой(соответственно S536A с завода) Физически стоит еще электроотопитель(фен) э, но не работает, рейнголд в функция блока inka говорит что не установлен. Какой параметр отвечает за его активацию? Дело в том что если в баке менее 15л до вебаста не включается и в -30 салон очень тяжело прогреть. А у друга f30 без вебасты, но с феном и в салоне тепло через пару минут(с дефлекторов сразу довольно теплиц воздух дует) Опция для холодных стран отсутствует у меня…но боюсь ее зашить что бы не отписать работу вебасту. Просто бы строчку найти, которая отвечает за работу фена. Заранее огромное спасибо!!!

Hi Vlad, I have watched your videos and tried to follow every step, but mostly no success, would you mind helping me out please, if you could remote to my laptop and help me, I'm struggling, I have been working on this for 3 weeks. I am trying to retrofit the vantilated comfort seats to my F10, I did all the wiring bits under the seats for power and canbus, the drivers seat now moves but passenger seat, memory buttons, seat cooling and heating buttons don't work. Here is what I think my issue is, the seats are from a 2009 F01 750i and the climate control (IHKA) is from a 2013 f10 M5 US. My car is a 2010 F10 EU version.

If all parts are compatible and coding done right and still no result then issue might be istep difference. Update ECUs to latest istep and it might fix the issue.

@BimmerDoc Can you give me a detailed step by step guide how to update / flash the I-steps to match my vehicle istep. It also appears that there are no CAFD files in the the SM and IHKA modules, when I try to Detect CAF SWE to add the CAFD but it fails.

Китайские модули не всегда работают как надо. Используйте оригинал (новые или бу). Кодировать их все равно надо через Esys

Нет дело не в лайт дате. АКБ котируется через VO а не через FDL.
