I’ve been learning Russian fro 2 years and its the language I speedrun side order in, I safe to say got a massive laugh out of this watching you struggle so hard with all the Cyrillic letters, would love to see you do this again with the main game

12:56 the reason for that is probably because Acht means the number 8 in German

I hate it when people claim german to be horrible as a language. It's not THAT difficult... Spanish however, they got exceptions for exceptions...

@@Alphastar716 its kinda like a repeated flap of the tongue. think about saying butter, and how we colloquially pronounce it, budder. try to repeat the flap of the tongue to roll your r's. (I never had trouble rolling my r's when I was young because I was taught Spanish in first grade. the first language I could read and write in was Spanish. I am not Hispanic.)

In a past stream I actually did play Big Run in other languages. I haven't touched the single player yet though. 👀

Portuguese would’ve been an interesting one if it were in the game. It’s one most yet least similar languages to English. Like they use the same alphabet and a native English speaker would probably be able to figure out a couple of similar and even some that are written exactly the same(like chocolate and banana), but if that same hypothetical English speaker tried to LEARN Portuguese, they’d be traumatized the moment they learned every single word has a gender.

@@Alphastar716 it’s a language on the switch, but not a language in splatoon, which is why I wanted to learn English in the first place because Nintendo wasn’t didn’t start localizing games to Portuguese until the release of Mario kart 8 DX(Which still was only in Portugal Portuguese which has some very significant differences from Brazilian Portuguese, which is not the only variation, but it’s probably spoken the most in comparison to others). But recently, a lot of switch titles have been localized to Portuguese. Mario Wonder, in particular, was a HUGE W(even the talking flowers are VOICED in both BR and PR Portuguese!). Anyway, sorry about the lecture here, i am WAY too detailing.

Exactly, because „acht“ is german for „eight“. If you have a character called „acht“ and a character called „nummer acht“, things can get confusing.
