NEVER HAD IT THIS BAD... TRACTOR STOPPED DEAD IN FLOOD!

In today's video we are going for it... We have a weather window... A very small one but its there. We mow a few bits at home but then decide to mow our neighbour bit. They have lots of grass which is making the standing water a nightmare to spot!!
Hope you enjoy!

Hi Tom, that's amazing the amount of water laying in the paddocks. Maybe should have waited another week but any free hay can't be sneezed at. It's good you still listen to your dads opinion (to a point) and go with his experience and knowledge. The farm consumes alot of your time, especially with all the work with the new parlour build, so I hope you have a good break away this weekend spending quality time with your wife. Great video again. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.

This will sound a little counterintuitive but you need less air in your tires for more floatation. This is because the sagging of the tires gives you more contact area from the tire to the ground thus more floatation. The more you know😊 we run our tires for this reason a little lower on pressure we have relatively wet ground😅

I agree about the hearing protectors. You don’t realize how these noises affect your hearing until it’s to late. You might also want to start wearing a hard hat also. The way you were bouncing I thought you might hit your head on the roof.😂

Running to head, means more protein in the sward - there is quite a bit of poor-quality protein in grass seeds. Maybe stock hates how the texture changes. How does this figure with hay/silage.

You had it right to change the parlour. it is just the time you planned for it that was way too optimistic ... I agree with you about paddock grazing. will improve the things or better, reduce the waste of grass. It will probably also improve the hydratation of the cows, because you have a water point closer. But it takes time to set up and also requires some investment to set up. one thing at a time, parlour had higher priority. and changing too much things together can perturb the cows (and the farmer)
