Someone needs to track down exactly what roads RCE designed, and then interview the people in the area and see how badly it effected them.

Lewisham resident here. I have first-hand experience of the boroughwide 20mph zone that RCE helped design. To be fair, RCE didn't come up with the idea of a boroughwide 20mph zone. It was a council decision - all Matt did was design the signs which say 20 on them, and decide where to place them. The 20 zone has locked my available routes to the remaining 30 roads going through the borough (these would be the red routes owned by TfL). I was ratrunning a lot less, but it also left me with fewer diversionary options should I be experience delays on the trunk road. That was until Covid19. The pandemic has done more to alleviate congestion on the UK's roads than any traffic scheme (Traffic is still not back at pre-pandemic levels). Oh you wanted to know how Matt's signs are getting along? They're doing okay, apart from the faded paint on the 20 road markings of Perry Hill, Exbury Road, Belmont Hill & Verdant Lane.

13:30 your pumps are right next to the water spawn for the lake. Those will increase the output when the target water level set on the spawner isn't reached. So when you started vacuuming the water it increased output.
Can anyone explain why its so fun and relaxing to watch all of this perfect architect free content

I like how this game fits so many playing styles. You got your noobs that create the grid over and over, your slightly more ambitious players, your detailers, your customizers, and then you got your adults bringing our their inner 5 year old. Whats a city without a poo mountain?

the water pumps in architect hill are connected to your main water grid so you are making the engineers drink turds to fix this just seperate the grids so you have 2 separate water grids

I could be wrong, but I think Cities Skylines doesn't treat water pollution as specific to a given grid. I think that even if the grids are disconnected, a pollution value greater than zero affects the entire city.

It’s kinda weird seeing a non-famous bridge from your home city randomly in a video game.
Congratulations for 1 million you totally deserver it!!!
Can't wait to see how strong the new area becomes now that it has a large base with a... bushy interchange right above it
I love that RCE put up a photo of a spaghetti junction in Atlanta GA, as an Atlantan we have an interchange in Atlanta we call spaghetti junction and it's not that one. Look up the Tom Moreland Interchange.
literally all I can think as I watch this is "how is this city ALIVE" I mean big parts of it are dying but it's not a complete ghost town and I'm just wondering HOW
I'm so addicted to your videos. Like eating Pringles I can't stop!
when i see your city building skills i start to understand how the management of my workplace work
never cease to make me laugh and facepalm. every city skylines episode. love it!
loving seeing this town "evolve" every series
He's done it lads. His job has become drawing knobs in video games. He's living the dream. Cheers RCE
At 5M you should give it to Biffa to fix your traffic.
Finally! I've been waiting forever for another video from engitopia
i love how he uploads just as i get back from school
Biffa taking a look the traffic (or anything else) in Matt’s city would be the best crossover I’ve seen!
That junction is beautiful and horrific at the same time, I honestly can’t even comprehend how it works, I love it so much. I had a similar experience as a kid and I’m happy to say I also built crazy motorways in this game.
A Biffa cross-over with this city would be epic.
I hope matt actually makes blueprints with the strongest shape in them, hoping that one day his boss finally agrees to the superiority of it, and includes it into a build
I have a suggestion for your architect’s island: a modder called Senfkorn, has a ploppable asset called ‘Woodlog Architects’. It even has wooden cladding, so it should be nice and flammable! 😈🔥
And he STILL hasn't connected the power line from the Poop Chute to the city...
Matt! Your citizens are getting sick because some waterpumps are pumping poop. I had that problem too XD. Probably the pumps from the architechs are connected to the rest of the city

you really should get biffa to fix the city, would make good content for both of you!. id love to hear biffa swear when he loads it
BTW with the bulldozer you can select mode - abandoned and set the size to the largest to get rid of abandoned buildings quickly
Highways in real life cities in a nutshell: GPS: "Take the right exit" *There are 5+ right exits*
Biffa would probably cry if he had to work on these roads. But it would be hilarious for everyone else!
( 19:15 ) That's what it feels to drive in some parts of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
I appreciate the hardwork you put in your video . Really addictive entertainment , and great source of relif after a long day of work . Keep up the good work .
The knob designs and jokes never get old. Keep them coming 😁
Love these episodes, so relaxing to watch and of course architect bashing 👌👍
Biffa is about to spill his tea with all the anxiety you're causing him with that roundabout... Maybe you should send it his way to fix lol
If Biffa does this city he needs to make sure he always agrees that the road layout is super efficient.
Now THAT is a marvel of modern architec...errr engineering. Fabulously well desig, errr built. Kudos.
Seeing the swarm of helicopters, I feel this was a CCR Fortunate Son moment that was passed up.
I think Matt should make a new city skylines world where he tries to make the best city possible without ruining it
I would love to see Biffa fix this city.
The super pumps are so powerful, that they are actually reversing the waterflow on the river exiting the lake. Hence the lake overflows.
Just found this channel last week. Absolutely Epic and hilarious! Love the brown power poocano and turdalwaves. Keep the content coming!
At the beginning when you were making the two circles. I thought you were making the strongest shape.
Biffa is somewhere close by pulling his hair out.
There is an auto demolish mod available- it demolished abandoned buildings immediately. Super good mod
With those highways you must’ve helped design Huston
Was going to comment how fun it would be to watch biffa deal with engitopia. The helicopter tour distracted me. Thank you for the laugh =D
“You can see all of the hearse’s leaving, that’s good” Yes. Very good
Loving the Cities Skylines series
Both funny and genuinely interesting. Great stuff.
I love the way you can mess with water levels with pumps and outflow pipes, on my own playthroughs I’ve drained lakes by accident using water pumps.
That junction does take me bake to my childhood. How come everything seemed so much more complicated then? Great video.
You need the auto emptying mod, and add more landfill sites. A lot of the problems you're facing are with garbage and dead people stacking up.
Matt is really giving off Let’s Game It Out vibes with that “junction”
just dropped by and less than one minute in the engineer is already hating on architects. absolutely loved it
Matt using what he learned from draining the sea for Atlantis, while forgetting what he learned about water spawners in lakes _on the exact same map_ xD Also flooding happening because of how water reacts when you pour it into a hole: it splashes around.
*Real Civil Engineer* - “Hello! Welcome back fellow engineers.” *Me who is definitely not an engineer* - “Ahh yes, hello there”
I laughed out loud when you installed the super pumps. Really enjoy your videos!
Think Matt likes Architects 😁 2:04 sneak peek at Matt's Engineering beard puts the fear in Architects 😨 only you Matt would make Helicopters do that shape 🤣🤣
as a traffic signal control researcher, your traffic management is really good /s
please give Biffa your city. I'd love to see his response to it so much
I didn't know I was missing Engitopia until I watched this video. Feels good to be back home.
I love the cemeteries next to the skate parks. That's brilliant!
You absolutely need to send this to Biffa for a traffic fix, that would be hilarious! Lol

Is it bad that I watched the whole 19+ mins of this video? No? LOVE EVERY, SINGLE, COMMENTARY! Now I'm itching to go back to Cities: Skylines (if they haven't burned down to the ground already (been away for years!).
Another upload!!!
