I stopped eating any honey or honey product many years ago when I first heard of the plight of the bees from a friend who was a dedicated Beekeeper. Native Bees are endangered and facing extinction. Honey Bees are Not endangered yet there are reports from Beekeepers of hives having massive deaths. My friend, a Beekeeper for many years, lost ALL her hives of HoneyBees never finding the cause. She was too disheartened to rebuild her business.
