it's correct. appreciate can also mean that you don't realize something.

It's grammatically slightly more correct than the way it's generally used. It's like an old way I believe that used to be used more often that way. Words change their meaning a little bit but this guy doesn't appreciate that.

Patient: ka ka ka ma ma ma la la la Doctor: I don’t appreciate that

Patient: .... Doctor: I don’t appReCiATe your silence
