He cites Darwish and Awad's romantic words towards the topic as something promoting the use of violence for conflict, when all they're promoting is a less violent Israel, and not a more violent Palestine. An argument can be made for Israel's promotion of violence, though, especially in its early years, where Zionists used the terms "to settle" and "to colonize" when concerning the issue of Palestine, which was due to the favorable outlook on Colonization in the 19th and 20th centuries. But, ever since the negative connotations of colonization appeared in modern times, Israel has started using the term "complexity" when regarding Palestine, even though such complexity doesn't exist in this fairly simple conflict of illegal colonization. Netanyahu claims that since 1948, the Arabs and Palestine rejected a peace treaty with Israel and continuous promoted violent reimburses. An entirely false claim, of course, in 1971 Israel rejected a peace treaty offered by Egypt because it wanted to expand into the Sinai and continue its colonization of Arab lands. Israel is the violent one, and not Palestine.
