Scott Costello WE will bounce back. But, trust me it will never be the same again. Towers, palaces, temples, courtyards will somehow be modernized than they used to be before. I mean they could no longer be made as ancient as they used to be.It's not just about investment but several arts and crafts are gone (damaged). We can recover part of those lost glory but what about the artists or craftsmen who might contribute building these ancient heritage? The 17th century artist (craftsman) and the present 21st century artist/craftsman wouldn't be the same. It wouldn't ever be easy to recover fully from this loss.

Hmm... I never been to Nepal before and about months ago i was discussing with friends to make a chance for all of us to go and see the magical things in Katmandu. Now all the dreams is gone and scattered into tears... Feel so devastated with just happened to Nepal rite now. We love you, NEPAL.

Saroj Adhikari Yes the damage and loses are really heart breaking. Their guide's house clapsed during the quake and boyfriend's group raised money to help with the restoration. They were near Pokhara at the time. The funny thing is that when he was changing money he took more than he planned/wanted because of some bank policies. I guess the universe made it right.

JpopKARAOKE We will rebuild the city again. We will recover all the beauty and heritage that was lost. But, it would never be the original ancient kathmandu. People over there are very resilient. They give much value to relationships and the well-being of others. Wealth, money and materialistic things are just the shared responsibility among each member of the family or community anyways. Just a perception from our side. No offence to you western guys. Live your life and be nice and helpful to everybody forever.

JpopKARAOKE Not all of these places are gone! The incredibly spectacular Monkey Temple is still there. The temple along the Bagmati River is still there, and the people are still there, and they are some of the most generous, sweet souls I have ever met. You can still meet Sadhus and chat with shopkeepers and buy their amazing textiles and brasswork. Thangkas are still being painted. Prayers are still being said. North of the city, there are still Himalayas. South of the city, there are still the tigers of Chitwan. So much to see and do in Nepal!!! The rest will be rebuilt.

We will bounce back. I love my nepal. Give me and all Nepalese energy to rebuild our nepal. Our strength and unity is our power. Humans, Gods, animals and nature must coexist. That's the soul principle of Hinduism and Buddhism. We will sustain our injuries in this difficult time. We never lost with the giant neighbors, including British Superpower in the past centuries. But, this time nature was so powerful that we could not resist. Ancestor's creations are our symbol of peace, unity and craftsmanship. They must be revered and re-erected although it will never be the same again.
