"Revive"? OMG... An explosion of everything that is explosive...! 😂 Booooom! 💥 😂🤘 Like "Lovebites" on the pinnacle of their power, exploding by energy. 😁🐺

Love her voice! Saw them first 2 years back covering Iron Maiden, and said: work with your English and sky is the limit. And she did. "Revive" is a good example. ...but got to admit I'm more into Lovebites since they are inspired by 80s metal scene... but with a twist.

Adorable but bad-ass is spot on and what they really want to portray. Their mentioned that their approach is "jigoku no yurufawa" which means "hell fluffy cute" or could be interpreted as play heavy as hell while being true to your own nature -fluffy cute as them being ladies. This band is relatively new but individually they are quite well known to Japanese rock metal scene especially the guitarist SAKI who is also a member of another metal band Mary's Blood and AMAHIRU project band. Another guitarist Hazuki is from Li-sa-X BAND. Their bassist Haraguchi-san is a former HöLDERLINS bassist who is also the happiest bassist I have ever seen. Mayu the vocalist was also known as Sindy in her previous band LIPSTICK, but she never screamed this hard before so its surprisingly refreshing from her. The fifth member of the band, Murata Tamu, the drummer is perhaps the most interesting addition to these superb veterans line up. She is one whole band herself and for years she had been the most sought after fill-in session drummer in Japan. She could sing, play piano, keyboards, guitar, bass, xylophone and saxophone as well but drums have always been her passion. Saki, the leader of the band and also the composer for Mary's Blood said "I write songs for NEMOPHILA too, but there is also a composer team, so we compose the songs at the same time and give every member the midi’s. Tamu has had the longest career of the band, so she always makes her own fills by herself." That is how Tamu's reputation and the way other band mates see her; as their senior. I am glad you chose DISSENSION first instead of HYPNOSIS because you can see how talented everyone is and in HYPNOSIS, they went into quite different realm, in a very good way of course. HYPNOSIS is my favourite song from them so far because this is where Tamu goes full throttle (well, almost, since she is phenomenal). The uniqueness of this song is... instead of guitar solos as their normal song would be (since both Saki and Hazuki are phenomenal shredders on 7 strings), their bassist Haraguchi-san (composer of Hypnosis) imagined to have Tamu playing couple of traditional percussion instruments (Taiko drums etc.) since she knew Tamu's percussion knowledge and ability. However, upon receiving the midi, immediately Tamu got to work and submitted two drum lines, one was just like her normal days at work and the other was more intense with extra fills and solo. Haraguchi-san was very impressed and during the recording rehearsals, Saki decided to try and incorporate Tamu's second options and further arrangement made them fully opted for Tamu's intense drumming. So expect the unexpected from NEMOPHILA because their songs is quite diverse with mix of different genres and they sometimes did that in one song. Trash, death, heavy metalcore, rock, they have it all figured out to make their own 'flavour'. Keep on rocking with NEMOPHILA and don't miss out on their first album release later this month! 🤘🏻

Nemophila is a band formed in 2019, but actually each of their members is from a different band, and they are a very unique band, each song has different elements, Two guitarists: Saki（from Mary’s Blood) and hazuki（from lisa-X band) are very well knows female guitarists in Japan, drummer murata tamu has collaborated with many singers and bands，and she also a solo drummer , the singer mayu（ex-Lipstick) with a highly recognizable scream and beautiful voice. haraguchi（ex-Hölderlins) is the happiest bassist I have ever seen😜 very simple introduction, but I hope it can help you to know some of this band. thanks for the reminder about Holderlins. That group been appearing in my Apple music feed. Now i know why. As for Hazuki. In addition to LiSA-X - she was in the group "Disqualia" and did a live with ex- Aldious co-founder / vocals RAMI - It was actually 3 ex Disqualia members that worked on both (LiSa-X and Rami) ... Hazuki and Narumi on guitar and Risa*Risa on drums. Mayu used to go by the name Sindy

There are some fabulous All female bands from Japan. On the metal side here is Lovebites and a recommended song is Holy War live, There is also Gacharic Spin a more rock/pop and other genres band a good start is Redline live, kzread.info/dash/bejne/a6Zqu8eMkde1kcY.html, Scandal more of a pop rock band, Mary's Blood, Hanabie, Doll$box etc. So many great bands are out there.

Another favorite all-female Japanese metal band are Hanabie (ha-na-bi-eh). Everyone starts with We Like Sweets. My second favorite is their metal cover of the pop song Odo (dance), by the teenaged vocalist Ado.

It's not embarrassing. The level of badassery in all female japanese metal bands will do that to you. Other bands to check out is Hanabie (ha-na-bi-eh) and Babymetal. For both of these just pick the first result that comes up when searching their name. And yes, you pronounced it correctly. Most americans can't get that right and say nemophilia. Other really standout songs of theirs are Raitei, Oiran and Hypnosis, though all their songs are great. Awesome reaction!

I saw the thumbnail four days ago but I waited to watch it until I had time to enjoy it, and I’m glad I did. Nemophila are a versatile band and Meyer is an amazing vocalist. Do you check out Hypnosis and all their other videos. Be sure to check out their many cover songs, especially Don’t Say Lazy, which shows a completely different side of Mayu’s personality.

I’m new to Nemophila, but are fast becoming my second favorite. Now I know you like, The Warning, they are doing a tour through the U.S. in end of April to end of May. If you are close you might want to check them out. They also dropped 6 live songs on their KZread channel. They sound great. My favorite Nemophila song is Zen. No real video for but lots of fan videos of the song when they toured through the U.S.

Amazing...your facial expressions tells everything about how the music affects you.......I find you exciting to watch....natural and really unafraid to say what you feel...

Nemophila blue Wildflower in Japan I can't imagine them being named after a wildflower Adabana means a flower that doesn't produce fruit and it can also mean something that's completely useless or doesn't live up to its potential

A fun cover that they had done is the Banana Song (minions cover) and you are one of the few to pronounce their name correctly.

@@5Melig And Destrose was a commercial failure...Yes they spawned several bands. But how could you not, with the amount of people coming and going. Last count I think it was 18-19 people. That's just silly. And out of all those women...Only 1 album was ever put out...

@@yolandria Babymetal was promoted right from the start by the company that constructed it, Destrose has always been an independant band. Never heard of anyone naming Babymetal as the reason to start playing metal. Alright, try Maximum the Hormone, not metal, but inspired a lot of youngsters to play heavy music, especially female drummers. Babymetal had an impact on the public, not so much on starting musicians, as far as I know. The music is good, the singing fantastic, still not a selfmade band, I avoid it.

BAND-MAID, NEMOPHILA, LOVEBITES and The Warning are the recommending female bands in the world. I do love Gacharic Spin, Mary's Blood, TRiDENT and Aldious too :)

If you open the door to Japaneese Metal... be prepared to a crazy journey.. And i think if you like the guitar solos... LOVEBITES is another band you MUST check. NOW. SOng? mmm.. any you find in their channel.

This is the song hooked me into Nemophila. They are currently my #4 fav band. I suggest you Raitei (MV) next, or check out Minions/Banana Song (cover) for fun😝

Check out Oiran live from Naon Yano if you want some more hormones to kick you in the cerebellum. 😜 Nemophila describe themselves as the sounds of hell while otherwise being cute and fluffy in all other respects. lol If you’d like something even more crazy, yet amazingly talented and very real, Hanabie is the way to go. Welcome to Nemophila! That was fun to watch. I can guess from this reaction and Revive that you will absolutely adore everything these ladies have done. Hypnosis is an obvious second choice but you could go for Oiran or Monsters or Sorai or Life or Raitei or Fighter or even any of their numerous covers that tickles your fancy. Nemophila makes me so damn happy. Out of them all I recommend Oiran (youtube ver). The joy they play with is infectious.

I hope you check out Hanabie too, a very young talented up and coming Japanese all female metal band

Nemophila is my favorite band since I found Jinjer 4 years ago. ANY original song OR cover they do is great. Highly suggest Oiran live and for a cover Shimi from Maximum the Hormone. If you do not know Maximum the Hormone, run right now and I mean run and react to Yoshu Fukushu, you will be impressed..

Nice reaction. wonderful. I next recommend to you NEMOPHILA / HYPNOSIS. And other girls band, Babymetal is wonderful too.

Mayu, singer, brought this band together so she could record some demo's. The band she was in Lipstick broke up. They started by doing covers of Japanese and American bands. It worked, they enjoyed working together and they were getting attention on YT. Their first album is now out with original songs. Warning; Mayu watches and reads the reactions on YT, so behave yourself. Next, "Monsters" very different but also very good, especially Mayu.
