During the journey of sorrow after loss of family & husband I had the blessings of meeting an incredible friend named Marie . This was her favorite song by this incredible writer/ singer & today is the date of her passing. Oh how I miss her❤

What a song. It never fails to move me, damn near to tears. What a singer! I have been lucky to have seen him in person once and the same comment applies. However, the most beautiful arrangement of this song, with appologies to Ian and Sylvia is Neil's collaberation with the late great Nicollette Larson. The same comment - in spades applies here also.

@@russjones4034 I heard he wrote more than 100 verses for Sugar Mountain, ending up recording just 4. He wrote the song , he can sing it as he pleases.

I first heard this song on his album COMES A TIME? It was the last track on the album and I didn't know about Ian and Sylvia. I thought it was the best song on the album.

Makes me miss Canada a little. I left there 14 years ago for Jamaica. Born in Ontario in 1952. But the place has changed so much, I hardly know it anymore. Never going back.

Pegi died of a broken heart And Cancer. She received news of cancer shortly after Neil called with the news he had found someone else . RIP Pegi, you are a true angel now.
