One of the greatest songs ever written beautifully and masterfully sung by arguably one of the best songwriters to ever have lived.

The TV show - The Bear got me here. I got goosebumps when I heard it. If they don't get a season 3 due to the strikes - the episode "Bolognese " is a fitting last episode. Just my two cents. Carmy deserves to be happy outside the kitchen. Kudos.

Neil Finn doesn't get enough credit as a song writer, lyricist, and artist. Those of us who know and love him are truly blessed.

In the world of the musicians Neil Finn is held in very high esteem very highly regarded.

Must say that the one band I have never been ashamed to admit absolutely worshipping, no matter what company I may be in are crowded house. These guys got me through break ups, clean ups, fuck ups and just as many downs. I would say that in the annals of absolutely unashamed pop music these guys are right at the pinnacle. Plus another thing I love about their stuff is that even a mediocre singer and guitarist like myself can sing their stuff and have it sound better than a phonebook lol.

Isn't it interesting? You take one of the most haunting and iconic songs from the golden years of Australian music, and you feel that it is too perfect in the hands of Mark Seymour and the H&C to ever sound as good anywhere else, by anyone else. And then this bloody genius singer-songwriter - who has his own catalog to die for - picks up a guitar and respectfully and lovingly sings this song into another place in music perfection. And I think I'm understating it.... Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Hunters and Collectors opened for Midnight Oil in 1990 in Vancouver and when they sang this as their last song, all of Midnight Oil came onstage. It was magical. First time hearing of this song and its been a favourite ever since

Hey Erika, nice to hear i'm not alone on this one. I remember a break up a few years ago that involved a half dozen bottles of red and my collection of crowded house cd's. These guys deserve a place in music history much larger than they currently enjoy.

The best love song ever written ever, anywhere anytime you must see this clip with Eddie Vedder and Mark Seymor its a classic

I had thought this was a Finn song with the acoustic guitar, the male troubadour vocal and the moving chorus that compels one to share it. I also thought Hunters & Collectors were an NZ band before they became Australian but anyhow - Neil Finn could sing the phone book and make it sound wistful and hauntingly lovely.

Apparently versions exist where it's 165,000 places instead of 4 :P Beautiful song, the version he did with the band at Farewell to the World was brief but brilliant. Lovely to hear him do it so beautifully and honestly. This is such an enduring song, I've heard Paul McDermott do a great version with the Doug Anthony All Stars. It's truly a classic

Sorry about this ugly comment, but Neil/Finn are for me a world star...Ok NOT a little bit commercial, but the different styles really did/does straight to the heart and many bands from there has given to me are incredible pure life.....Since 1980 I love this band (as several other bands of course) with is brother : it keeps me in mind forever *** And in fact as growing older, Split Enz**** Old man, who I am LOL no not at all*

I saw Mark Seymour at the Trak Lounge in Toorak June 2011, the place was packed. When coming to the end of the show, he said goodnight, the crowd yelled for more and out he came. He did this about 3 times and yet still hadn't sung "Throw Your Arms Around me". By now about 3/4 of the crowd has left, my girlfriend said "Come on let's go", I replied, "but he hasn't finished yet". And sure enough he came out again and played this song. I then told my girlfriend, "He's finished now, let's go".
