@josephcrsn You should have stuck to a previous comment of yours about not being able to sing. Bowie had a range of more that 3 1/2 octaves.
One of Bowie’s best, which is really saying something, performed by one of the world’s best ballad writers and performers. You could parachute this man into any city in the world carrying nothing but a guitar and he’d draw a crowd in minutes

@@Undercoverbrotherfromanother Absolutely. Not just an outstanding musician, also a brilliant composer and lyricist. I was a fan of Split Enz from first contact, which happened for me in 1979 or 1980 or thereabouts at the age of 9 or 10, living in the cultural wasteland of Perth, Australia. Would still rate _Message To My Girl_ as one of the greatest songs ever written. Musically and lyrically flawless.

I have never heard Neil sing better than this, getting better as he gets older, and can you imagine being his neighbours you wouldn't be telling him to turn the music down. Brilliant

I love how certain guitar players are so distinctive you can't mistake them for anyone else. When I hear this acoustic version, I realize how true this is of Neil. No production or accrutriment and that distinctive sound is there. I loves it.
Simple , Direct , Natural... Brillant !!!
Neil Finn and Crowded house didn’t get the accolades they deserved. Amazing song writers and performers. “Intriguer “ and “Time on Earth” are masterpieces. Every song great. Oh and “Together Alone” too ...
Thank you Neil and thanks too to Sharon for the expert camerawork. These sessions are little oases of warmth and delight in the barren wasteland of corona isolation. I feel privileged to be part of the Fang Gang. Sending love and strength to all the Finn family members and their fans. ❤️

Thank you Neil and Nick for your kindness. I worked for EMI /Capitol Canada a while back. When Temple of Low Men came out. Working for a record label can truly be shit when you really believe in music and a certain band and you must deal with the "pleasure" of music business politics.. You made my job feel worthwhile......And I think of Hessie often...Cheers....

Here is my view: most songs, music, albums etc. are specific to a time and place.
