Hey i work part time on an ambulance, I’m a student in the medical field as well and just sayin, don’t be afraid to call an ambulance instead of the cops.... as long as he isn’t aggressive he might just need a medication switch or something and if he isn’t in the right state of mind we have the power to take him against his will (which may be good cause he may need a Doctor)

You deserve recognition for having handled the situation in such a calm maneurism. Al could have run into a not so compassionate person and the events could have went in a complete different direction resulting in an aggressive response. Not everyone would have remained so calm faced with a trespasser that refuses to respond to the proprietor's request to vacate the premises. The outcome could have been very ugly for Al had he behaved with an aggressive neighbor. Thank you for handling the situation with such empathy and compassion! Hopefully Al gets the psychological help he seems to be in need of. Again, you deserve recognition for the way you handled and controlled the situation without violence or escalation of any sorts. Ditto on your comment, my neighbor kept calling the law on me for such BS as trimming and Chainsawing down trees his house is approximately 6 acres away and across the street , the time of day was 3 o'clock. In the afternoon, end of our little cul-de-sac is a professional saw mill, looking up past history , before I moved in he had previously police called harassed 2 other neighbors, with all the weird footage , I got on him with my cameras , I never once called the Cops , I knew he would sooner or later bury his own self which is exactly what he did .

I'm a professional painter, this one time I was painting a house while the home owner was on vacation. The home owner told me the neighbor was going to keep on eye on the house while they were away. I showed up to the job dressed in all white ,white truck with ladders, I started unloading the ladders and the neighbor came out with his chest all puffed out and with a deep authoritive voice said" can I help you?" I replied," sure you can start by unloading the truck,he replied,that's not what I mean,so I replied,well what do you mean? He replied I'm keeping an eye on this property. So I asked him" didn't the home owner tell you painters were coming? He said yes,so I asked him" do I not look like a painter? He didn't respond he just walked back in the house, I didn't see him anymore

Used to have a lady that lived next door to my mom and I, Reminds me a lot of Al. I caught her painting the wall of my Mom's house once. She would take the trash we put out every week and take it into her house and I guess root thru it for recycling fair enough but my mom had to use colostomy bags so basically she was taking bags of shit into her house! Finally I called her exhusband and told him to rein in his exam being he was a surgeon with a reputation in town you better believe I got a hand written note apologizing for overstepping her boundaries and also lectured about recycling told you that she was nuts!

These kind of people are why I have a dog.

Hell no. Crazy person calling the police on your dog will get your dog taken away quicker than the crazy person learns to leave you alone. Don't let your dog get involved unless you are seriously defending yourself.

I like the law in Florida. You ask someone to leave your property, if they don't you take them by the arm and escort them off your property. If they resist you can use reasonable force to eject them. If they get violent you can use whatever force you need to, up to and including deadly force.

Yup. There must be so much more to this story. My hunch is that the guys in the garage are noisy all the time and disturb the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, passive-aggressive stuff.

@@peacenow42 seriously? "Noisy all the time"? They were working on the car INSIDE the garage. Evidence they ate considerate people. He was calm, patient, polite, and VERY tolerant of this passive aggressive, self centered, old man. All thi gs point to this "al" being a bored miserable omd man, with too much time on his hands. With nothing better to do than blow smoke in his neighbors faces while they go about their own business. Not bothering a soul. Al, on the other hand, needs a better hobby.

@@wordswritteninred7171 yeah the garage door was open and this was only an example of what may be a root cause,,,their noise. maybe he was tolerant cause cops were the last thing they wanted....think darling. freudian slip...tama said"ate people" not hate, in case she goes back and changes it... couldn't make this stuff up if you tried...cause I live this nightmare with several horrendously obnoxiously noisy neighbors....who also stare all the time and spread very bad lies. food stamp recipients who only drink beer from bottles (outside all day long every day). cuss loudly (the m.f. word) and bring degenerate strangers around the kids. live it first before you act so sure. two of the worst left two weeks ago to go to texas to escape her outstanding warrants. witnessing their crimes was the worse...thinking they would think I turned them in. I could smell the meth cooking almost all the time and can you imagine the chemicals I breathed in the past 10 years, and don't say 'move' I bought for 80K and could not get 50k if I wanted to right now because of the economy. imagine living rural and all you hear is cussing, not the birds or other nature sounds. their friend, who lives next door also (in a different house) is a really terrible man, and registered pedophile who leaves for 4 days, comes back for one and so on and so on,,,a huge loophole in NC law that needs to be fixed. so live it first then criticize me. btw i had to replace the house after i bought it the meth head previous owners had contaminated it that much. I only suggested, not accused,,k? and the guy is middle-aged, ms. agist bigot. we have a right to be alive too.
