Neighbor from Hell - Dennis Sachet - Still at it!

Typical drama from the jerk next door. The one and only time I parked in front of Dennis Sachet's house (on a public street) he freaks out. He blocks my car in with all of his garbage and recycling bins. In Albany Oregon, our garbage service gives us a garbage can, a co-mingled bin and a yard debris bin. Dennis moved all 3 of his bins to block my car in. Then, the next day completely went off on me for "trying to pick a fight"! What an ass!!

immortalwolf6 lmao he's a fucking lunatic we grew up with a family like this. So being kids we had the fun of our lives getting them going and the fat mom would try to chase us because her son was a crybaby. We'd outrun her laughing the whole time of course and would climb up on our fence and laugh at her as she went to tell my mom. Her kids would steal our younger siblings little bikes and skateboards and she would cross out their names with black marker and put her kids name on it. That's what made us go so hard at them because we were all raised to not steal or lie and they were complicit in both

Dennis doesn't own the street. So long as you're not blocking a driveway and you're not impeding city workers (trash collectors) and you're parked within the legal limit of the curb (usually within 18 inches), he can't do ANYTHING and you have the right to move his trash bins so that you can move your own car. You should have enough of a paper trail and plenty of video records to take to the court and get a restraining order against him. His neurotic behavior is only escalating over time and that bodes ill for the future. Your only other alternative is to sell the house and move to a less volatile and far more peaceful neighborhood.

The guy gets enough criminal offenses, he's either gonna straighten the fuck up or spend a lot of time in jail. Either way, she wins with minimal risk. If she runs his cans over, she's probably liable in some way or another. Call the cops up and let them know the guy deliberately blocked her car in? Pretty sure that's harassment at the very least. If he continues, it just keeps escalating. Get a restraining order, then it becomes harassment and contempt of court. Etc, etc. Put your foot down. Fuck this guy's nonsense. Don't play his game. You can't win his game because he enjoys it. He's too foolish to recognize when he's losing at his own game. Let this guy spend a month in jail. We had neighbors once that were never satisfied. When we bought the house it had been unoccupied for over 5 years and needed a LOT of work - but they wanted a fresh coat of paint on it because they were embarrassed to have friends over. (?!) Long story short they wouldn't let up so hubby painted the house - and the small section of it that these neighbors could see was painted bright purple. They put up a privacy fence and never spoke to us again. If we'd known that's all it would take we'd have painted the house first.

I have a loud mouthed, low brow type guy neighbor. He is the kind of guy that revs his motorcycle, blocks my driveway, doesn't maintain his property. We have a common "neighbor" fence that was 70 years old and rotted. When I approached him about fixing it, he told me he couldn't afford it & wanted to live a "credit free" lifestyle & walked away. I've been a landlord for many years & it seems alot of people figure their neighbor will pay for their repairs. I found the best way to deal with these self centered freeloaders is to take them to small claims court. It's inexpensive, relatively quick & very effective.

We had a neighbor who would turn on our outside water faucet and let it run. One month our water bill was almost 3x what it normally is. Our water usage is around 5,000 gal/mo on average. One month it was over 15K. My wife could hear the water running and went outside and turned it off. The ground on that side of our home was water saturated. After the 3x bill we received from the city for our water, I said that it, I've had enough. If they wanted a war, I'll give it to them. A few days later, in the middle of the night, I went to their driveway where the parked their late model Ford Expedition. I put a towel over the windshield and bashed it in using a large ball peen hammer. I'm not the type who calls the cops to handle my problems. Fortunately, it ended there but I was fully willing to take the war up to whatever level they wanted.

@Rogue Hunter thats exactly what i said in my head. The reason he keeps doing this stuff is because you continue taking the high road and there is no repercussions to his childish behavoir. If you kicked over one of the bins and drove off with the others he would think again. Yes it would escalate but eventually he would start to think your counter actions are getting harsh and would eventually stop. I would have cut the fence and hedge and had a bonfire right infront of him. Placed cameras all over that side of his house and told him he's under 24 hour surveillance and be offically trespassed and any verbal harassment will be delt with swiftly.

I had a neighbor like this who would vandalize any car that was parked in front of his house. I had an old car that I was ready to get rid of, so I bought an infrared camera and parked the old car in front of his house. Sure enough he came out at two in the morning, slashed all of the tires and scratched the paint. I called the police and they were ecstatic that I caught him on video because they had wanted to catch him for a long time. I should add that this was before video cameras were common. I took him to court and I won damages. He was charged with a crime (I forget what) and he now has a criminal record.

They had to call to get new cans out, funny they don't leave them out on the street anymore =) Even full the cans won't hurt your car too much, just simply drive off, leave them where they crumble and fall.

Another fun thing to do is use industrial grade super-glue adhesive to seal the container lids down. Or better yet, adhere glass shards to the container handles making them difficult to move without gloves. Cut a flat side into each of the containers wheels so it is difficult to roll, especially when it has weight in it. There really are thousands of tiny different little things you can do to someone. Anything to annoy or inconvenience without blatantly breaking the law works best. The trick is attrition.... To make continued aggression against you exhausting and counter productive. This Dennis guy is an amateur. I'd have him moving or committing suicide in under a year. LOL, Good times.

My grandmother had a neighbor like this who put his trash cans against her car anytime she parked on the street, no matter if she was in front of her own house. First couple times she would just move them and get on with her day. Then he started zip tying HER trash cans to the door handles of her car so tightly it was hell to get off. Eventually, me and my brother had enough, and when your 13 and 15, you’re petty as hell. So every time he would put his trash cans by her car, they would end up on top of his flat top porch. Once he realized that he was running out of trash cans and had no idea where they were going until one fell during a storm, he stopped. For a good 2 months, he had 5 big ass trash cans just sitting on the roof of his house and he was COMPLETELY unaware. It was funny as hell.

I’ve had neighbors tell me indirectly not to park in front of their house. Definitely not to the extreme your neighbor does. It doesn’t bother me if someone parks in front of our house. The girls across the street had friends over for a party. Lots of cars were parked on the street. Most of them left later that night. One of them stayed all night in front our house. The next morning the girl who owned it jumped in her car to move it and apologized. I told her she could park there anytime. I even told her friend that lived across the street that I didn’t have a problem with it. The only time I would have a problem is when cutting the grass. I’m nervous maneuvering my mower around the car. Other than that, it’s s public street.

I don't know how old this Hellish neighbor Sachet is. But how sad it will be - on the day this man dies, the only thing he will be remembered for is how miserable he made other people's lives, while he lived. Sheee--it my friends... that's a tribute I wouldn't wish on anyone. But he sounds like a real stone head, and wouldn't listen even if you tried to point this out to him. Hang in. We live in a just Universe. I pity him when he brings payback coming around.. on himself, at karma time...

When he is away get some friends to throw glass bottles of Creosote through his windows, this will impregnate everything it touches, make the house impossible to live in with the smell and will need a complete strip down of everything it touches to get rid of the smell , floor boards, walls etc costing him a fortune. Tip: clean all prints off milk bottles, pour in creosote, seal top with cling film and an elastic band, get rid of creosote containers and wipe clean of prints as well, launch heavily at every glass window, they will pass through and spread the creosote everywhere. Now i am not saying to do this but i am saying this is what i would do to the old fart. Love from Scotland.

No, he won't have to move, but he will be in violation of the RO if he so much as says "good morning" to her. The mere presence of an RO, in addition to the violations he's bound to have, just adds mortar to the eventual lawsuit.

I live on 40 acres of peace and quiet and if one of the neighbors is bothering me in any way at all, they will be the ones legally at fault and at sever risk of getting shot because they have absolutely NO BUSINESS being where my property is.

That's what I thought too, when I left the city and bought land 20 years ago. Then I learned (the hard way) permits can be bought from the county/township. Need a new driveway or fence line? Go visit your buddy in the county department, and *voila!* New boundary! Thought I left this crap in the city, but it's everywhere.

I absolutely love how all these people have solutions to your problem. But nobody really knows what it's like until you get a neighbor like this guy. Been thru this but we have children they harassed so we filed a restraining order in fear of our children being hurt few month's of hell and the land owner kicked them out. This lady had the audacity to say she would run over our kids when she pulls in as she was talking to a police officer she called on us for something she made up. The cop told her I will throw your ass in jail you ever say anything like that again this women is fucking nutz.
