Negativity Blocks INF Intuition

INFJ personality types and INFP personality types commonly report feeling frustrated with their ability to access their intuition. This is because, although both the INFJ and INFP personality type are known for being two of the most intuitive personality types within the MBTI personality typing system, both types also tend to overthink the process of intuition.
When an INFJ or INFP is thinking too hard about intuition, or pushing too hard to access it, this can quickly become discouraging for them, as the harder they think about it, the more elusive intuitive insights become. When either of these types are stuck in over-thinking, they tend to ruminate on perceived negative outcomes, and then the mind is focused almost solely on negativity. It is extremely difficult for intuition to get through a dense network of negative thoughts, and instead of receiving intuitive insights, the INFJ or INFP repeats the same circular thought patterns. This results in the majority of the individual’s personal power and energetic resources being wasted on the management, negotiation, and avoidance of negative emotions.
There is a way to decrease negative mind clutter to open up space for more intuitive knowledge to be received. Tune in to the video to find out what it is.

this is why i really dislike all those crazy mentors who say "just do it even if you feel fear, push things through", which feels extremely disconnected to me. The problem is that these people are seen as the great teachers of this time, leading us, which is actually sad to witness. We need more videos like this to encourage inner guidance based on intuition instead of just pushing and forcing us to death.

"Intuition comes from neutral observer" - it's a completely different way of looking at intuition. thank you!

Work through your negative energy through shadow work and you will be much more able to access your intuition. Anger, fear, trauma, sadness, and loneliness prevent you from reaching your fullest potential.

Ive always wanted to do shadow work. Do you know anyone that i can work with that specializes in something like this? I really dont trust many counselors and such so i kinda dont try. If i could press a button that would guarantee me a good counselor, id pay this person 2X what they ask for. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to work this way.

@@DonTrump-sv1si I did a lot of it solo. I’m not saying that’s the right way or the only way. But facing your negative feelings, experiences and expectations head-on is the goal and end-state. Find a support in yourself or in others.

Stepping back and watching the way you think. It's so imterestong how KZread brings up videos related to what i was thinking about an hour ago or day bf😮 last night i was feeling overwhelmed with all of the negative strings of thought and old patterns of beimg and relating. I compared it to hoarding junk in a big room and having to clean and haul tons of garbage and how overwhelming it is. The trash heap felt insurmountable. Thank you for this.

Needed this exact message today. I was super caught just yesterday in the thought spiral. I identified with that, but you’ve reminded me, those thoughts aren’t “me”, the observer is.

That is similar to something my most likely INFJ ex said to me. To question what you are thinking, why you are really thinking about it, go deep w these problems to find the root cause, not just ruminate on the surface. It really needs to be reminded often. I usually just get stuck in this loop otherwise. Basically being more mindful about your thoughts and thought patterns.

It seems that the intuition that we have or bring to the table is the mind connecting so many things. The intuitive feeling is the mind telling us "this is something you know" but its not conscious. Its there, but its just put to the subconscious side of the mind and not on the forefront of the mind. This happens because we have so much on our mind and it cant all fit in the conscious part. Its also interesting that the same cells we have in the brain are in our gut; so a gut feeling is somehow connected to the brain/mind.

Right of course. Intuition. It's yin, it's "wait" the best things are worth waiting for. Step back, deep breath, give it time.

Thank you, Lauren. Yes, I have learned that when I can observe, I discover my rumination is me trying to control whatever I'm ruminating about. And, when I remind myself I can't control whatever, that leads eventually to letting it go. I have to do this often and with practice I have noticed I am able to let go faster and faster. xo

OMG, 100% spot on. Cannot agree more. Thank you so much for addressing this issue! I need to stabilize my emotions, make them more positive and balanced before I can tap into my intuition again. ❤❤❤

Spiralling due to overthinking is the worst! I've just come out of this. By facing the emotions bottles inside of me and facing the hard things I needed to do, I was able to find answers to all the issues almost instantaneously. It came to me while watering my garden. Best of luck to you all 🍀

I think when intuition comes through it's quite simple and when it does, we have a simultaneous gut feeling in our gut that can nudge us to take immediate action. sometimes we have a simultaneous feeling in the body. It all depends on how relaxed we are to observe things clearly, not stressed out all the time and being in our heads.

Very true. Jams it like chaff with radar; it's a 'feel' which the negativity biases and makes unusable.

I've intensely worked on learning a technical subject every day for the past 3 years, and I've gained a foundation for future learning. But, the landscape has changed leading to a gearing down in knowledge acquisition and technique. And that's fine because I have the basis of this new life goal. Now I can relax, and spend more time on other aspects of my life. Yet, as I simply function in this new knowledge, as opposed to wresting with it, my Intuition is beginning to kick into gear, and it's great! However, I do have to say that both phases of functioning are needed. All the Intuition in the world won't help in an area of complete intellectual ignorance. Nothing's been wasted. One can't skate through life on Intuition alone.

When I was a child, I believed I was in direct communication with God, or the universe, or what I called "my second mind". I could ask a question, close my eyes, and "see" the answer, usually just a word or two, and it was always right. Even if I was asked a maths question, this "second mind" would instantly tell me the answer, without the need to work it out logically... But then my regular conscious mind would be like "wait, that doesn't make sense. I can't just _know_ that. Let me check before I say anything", so then I'd start working out the logic, only to see that my "second mind" was right all along. I also believed this was normal, and everyone had it, but when I tried to explain it to people, nobody understood what I was talking about.
