Best here in only 'olympics' distance ' . Zelezny the greatest among them all , the goat.. He has won 2 Olympic golds , 1 Silver and Was 4th in one . 3 - 4 times world champion , 4 times european champion , and still holds the World Record back from 1996 ...

WR IS 98.48 m. Olympic record is 90.57 m. Neeraj Chopra is almost 90 m its 89.30 yet. But in 2021 he recieves gold with a throw of 87.58m!

Earlier javelin was made to go far distance that's why it went too far, due to its riskiness javelin we're made little balance way so that it might not go far distance. That's why you can't see people throwing 90 m or more then that..

Those aren't that much necessary. His main focus is (and should definitely be) now in the World Championships in Hayward Field, Oregon, US in July (which is before the Commonwealth and Asian Games). And considering he performs in Oregon as outstandingly as he had done in Tokyo, the other two games would be cakewalk for him.

@@debameetsaha3906 it's not only brother in Olympic his winning throw is 87.58 89.94 in Stockholm Then in Oregon 88.89 Consistency throwing around 88~90 only we need better comeback after injury and break barrier of 90+

I am very happy for India and Neeraj Chopra. First gold medal for India. Big moment for the sport javelin because 1.300.000.000 people got interested in javelin throw. To bad the competition was destroyed by the slippery mondo-track in Tokyo. And no, thats not the same for everyone. Heavier/bigger throwers or have more impact on the track then light throwers. (They even tried to cool down the track with dry-ice to make it less slippery. So that confirms that the fast mondo-track was not made for the javelin throw.) This year will be interesting to see how Neeraj can compete against the other top throwers. I hope he will throw 90m this year to!

It was actually India's first Gold medal in athletics and not overall, we have somewhere about 10 Gold medals now, majority of them from Field Hockey
